What is a full inbox here on Lit?

And why do I from time to time get a message saying a members inbox is full when it isn't?

Wouldn't a warning instant message saying a members inbox is nearing full be better than sending an email when someone ties to send a message thorugh?

Causes quite alot of confusion...

Or is it just me and my busted PC?

I honestly don't know how many messages mean a full inbox. I have about 30 in mine and it doesn't seem to be a problem.

I don't think your computer is busted. Some people don't regularly check their PM boxes. Don't know why. A PM is a like an unexpected gift. It's always nice to know that folks are thinking of you enough to send you a message. :)

I want to say the total PM count is 100, but don't quote me. All messages, including yout "sent" folder count toward the limit.

yeah, it is 100 messages. It does count the sent mail and message tracking. Once you clean those out that'll take care of the problem.

I was corrected when posted this once. Apparently it doesn't count the message tracking...only the in and sent...

I'd love to see the algorhythm that's used for this count. I've just been playing with the contents of my folders and cannot for the life of me make the totals add up to the total that shows at the bottom of the Lit home page. In fact, it almost seems to work like this: Inbox + Sent + (Message Tracking - Other Folders)

Anyone?

Other folders?? God have I been missing a secret code of PMs???

Could well be that a folder counts as a message... It's logical from a programming point of view.
