it's been a really, really long time since i've written anything substantial.
i don't know if you'd call it writers block
i have plenty of things i want to write about, i just can't find it in me to actually want to write it.
i don't know why.

i need one of those "self motivation" books or something.

I've recently found it's best just to sit down and write.

Don't sweat if you're highly inspired, just write. It becomes a habit, a good one.

And everything flows from there.

I'm guessing it's Lit. Message-boarding has a way of sucking out your soul, and replacing real writing with shallow, insubstantial witticisms.

Or I could be wrong :D

you're probably right.
it's very silly though - i turn on the computer, type a few words, and then i get bored.
maybe it's something to do with the general boringness of my writing, lol.
in any case, i'll keep trying.

you're quite likely right, lol
aside from the inordinate amount of time i spend at this place, i've also found that my dialogue has all gone to hell.
bleeding inanities.

Another observation from me (I got called wise twice this week :D )

Most writers are self-centered. Lord knows I am. But the message boards encourage a person to be a personality rather than a writer of fiction. I may not be expressing myself well here, but when people read your posts, bg, they are reading your words and interacting with you, but they are not living in the world you create.

Go create a world. Live there. Bring us all into it. What is inside your head is a lot more interesting than the world of self-absorbed Lit personalities.

You're a great writer, so stop fucking around and write something.

There's my kick in the ass for the day.

Carson, I love you.

We should all write those words out, backwards (and really small) on a Post-it note and stick it to our forheads.

Shucks.

I have this stuck to my monitor. It came from a fortune cookie and just blew me away.

You make people realize that there exist other beauties in this world.

Does that rock or what?
