People can be so shitty to one another. Why do we feel the need to insult, tear down, undermine, and just be cruel to each other? If we felt so united by what happened on September 11th, where the fuck did that unity go? We're always talking about mankind and how great it is, and how superior we are, and yet we can't even recognize the humanity of those around us? What's up with that? We kill, we steal, we impose our beliefs on others, we persecute, we discriminate... Where did it all go wrong? Mankind can't have been like this forever, can it? We wouldn't have made it through the first prehistoric tribe! They'd all have bashed each other with rocks and clubs.

We're predators, and we're pack animals. Why does it surprise you that we're aggressive toward people not of our 'pack'? It's animal nature to be the way that we are. Is it pretty? Nope. I don't understand the whole idea that we're supposed to all just get along... why are we somehow obligated to be nice?

I'm not a shining example of altruism... I take care of my own, and if you fuck with 'em, I'll take you out with no second thoughts. Just the way that it is. That isn't to say that I don't feel empathy toward others, either. I do what I can to make the world a better place, but how fucking boring would it be if it was all sunshine and lollipops?

Good things the US has done lately:

Tried hard to stop terrorism.
Rebuilt after a tragedy.
Strengthened ties with Britain, Russia, France, amazingly enough, and many other countries.
