I'm having lunch today with Laurel and you're not

It was a great afternoon. Great food, great company. Dixon was his usual rakishly charming self, and I got to see some guy running around dressed as Superman for whoknowswhat reason. Two thumbs up from us. :)

For some reason Superman, Batman and Spider-man have been walking around Hollywood Blvd. for the past 6 months. They're either three horrible actors absolutely desperate for attention, or Quentin Tarrantino is filming something.

Funny

I had just assumed Laurel was talking about you. (That, I didn't think worth commenting on.)

We went around the corner to Hollywood Blvd. I was hoping to take them into some of the new restaurants over there, but they've got everything blocked off for the Oscars. So I took them to a place across from Mann's Chinese.

Hamburger Hamlet? Saw Nicholson there once. Never saw no Superman, though... harumpf.

Yeah -- Hamburger Hamlet.

These are three actual costumed guys walking around. The costumes are very good, and the actors are buff, so I know these aren't three homeless wackos. They're doing something, but I can't seem to figure out what.

The bondage possibilities afforded by Spiderman's webslinging capabilities boggle the mind. And don't get me started on Batman's utility belt.

Sounds like the premise to a really lame joke: "Superman, Batman, and Spiderman walked into a burger joint on Hollywood Blvd..."

BTW, does that Hamburger Hamlet still have lobster bisque on the menu? Hollyweird indeed...

Those new restaurants at Hollywood & Highland do look interesting, though. I wanna try that shabu shabu place.

Have you seen my posts on page 2? It's worth checking out!! :D DCL, no smart remarks from you.. I was talking to kotori... k!
I didn't remember that specifically, but it must have been in the back of my mind. That's why I just assumed when Laurel mentioned the guy in the costume . . .

I didn't notice lobster anything. But I was intrigued by the BLT with "Special" mayonaise. Hmm...

It took a while for our for food to come, so we figured that since it was nearing the end of lunch rush, Tony in the back was having trouble 'making' more that 'special mayonnaise'. Luckily, he came through & we did get our share. :)

They knocked 20% of our bill for making us wait so long, which was nice. Laurel and Manu picked up the tab, which was nicer.

I was surprised at how little we discussed the site. As I recall, we barely mentioned it last time, either. I think we said the word "Arafat" more than "Literotica".

We should do it again. Next year, in Moscow.

Or at least the Russian Tea Room. But don't say "arafat" there.

Actually, I'm still waiting for Laurel to build that beach house descibed in that Millenium Story a couple of years back.

I think that's where they keep the Special Mayonaise.
