I'm Going To Vegas!

My plane leaves tomorrow morning at 8:00 am from JFK airport. I will be in Vegas for four days, until Monday night. No idea when that plane takes off, but I should be arriving home at around midnight on Monday.

I am going because I won seats in two poker tournaments, one on Saturday at 11:00 am and the other on Sunday at 11:00 am. I know a few other people who are also going for the same two tournaments, as well as another on Friday morning (I didn't qualify for that one, so my arrival is getting out there as it is being played).

It should be a fun and intense weekend. I can't wait to get out of work today and then be on vacation for a week

No, this one will almost definitely not be televised. After I win on Saturday though (I am winning on Saturday, did I mention it was my destiny?), I will be going to the World Series of Poker in May, and that is televised. I will be sitting next to Daniel Negreanu at some point. It's my destiny!

It is an interesting bit of history tho. And it has passed into legend.

And I would imagine some folks still get a tingle between their shoulder blades when they draw it too. It is cursed after all.

I didn't know about the Five, but Aces And Eights does indeed signify two pair, or it would be Aces Over Eights (or eights over aces if there were more of the lower card ), for the full house
