I'll be 34 in a few weeks and I've noticed that I'm getting lines on my forehead, both between my eyebrows and the ones from lifting my eyebrows a lot. I catch myself frowning unconsciously and squinting a lot, but I think it's too late to reverse it now.

I still think of myself as 28, but when I look in the mirror, I can't see myself as "the kid" anymore. It's depressing.

Do I have to grow up now? Is botox very expensive?

Wrinkles are a sign you have lived.

Growing old is inevitable. Growing up is optional.

Don't worry, sweetie. In a few years your vision will be shot to hell and you won't even be able to see them. :cathappy:

In my head I'm still 22. The mirror says something quite different.

The only way to avoid wrinkles is to never show any emotion. And smiles create lots. :)

So getting better glasses (to help with the squinting) is a bad idea, then?
You definitely should avoid squinting whenever possible. Better glasses, including sunglasses, will help, but eventually the near vision goes...

Mines gone.

Laughter lines are what you need. I have plenty to spare.
I still reckon I can pull the burds at 50, that's my sense of humour.:D

I'll call the plastic surgeon. Is Wednesday good for you?

Think you got wrinkles, you should see my balls
Don't give him straight lines like that. HA! Get it? Straight lines? ...no?

What does a 50yo women have between her breasts that a 20yo doesn't?

A bellybutton.

My wife's birthday today.

I empathize. :rose: I'm a skin slut, and I don't much care for what aging is doing to mine.

Well, aging plus the big weight loss. Wish I'd had the foresight to lose 100# when my skin had more elasticity. *sigh*

Are you saying your AVs aren't really you? Cause from what I can see...:catroar:

They are me -- but I avoid the flash and I crop carefully. ;) I have almost 3 feet of surgical scars in quite intimate places and a healthy supply of stretch marks from 3 big babies (delivered by 3 c-sections). I'm okay with the scars. The wrinkles annoy me, though, because I've never felt younger.

You serious? I saw your abs. :)

Anyway, whatever the reason for your weight loss and scars, your AVs are artfully done and you are clearly a beautiful woman. And I understand - I certainly don't feel my age.

oh, shit. my distance vision was gone by the time I was 7 years old, so when my near vision goes, I'll be screwed.

I do the Olay. It clearly isn't helping.
I don't want plastic surgery, I just don't want these lines... I'm not old!

Some things you just have to come to terms with. I've known since I was a teen that I'd be 'bald' one day. My hair thinned and now I trim it to 1/4 inch. I notice skin stuff too. It is what it is. It doesn't define you.

Doughnuts are the answer. Each line or wrinkle can be erased by the judicious use of 2 Krispy Kreme doughnuts. Trust me. I look like a teenager.:D

LOL. Funny you should mention that. I mentioned to my boyfriend that he's two years older than me and doesn't have a wrinkle, and he informed me that all the fat just fills it in. :D
