Not all muslims are terrorist, but all the terrorist that attacked the US were muslim.

They didn't bother explaining their reasons for killing 3000 people. I don't care what there reasons are, were, or will be. Either you are with us or againist us. The choice is clear.

All religions have a violent side.

A side that allows them to kill or hurt others.

Chritians have been violent in the past and that side now a days is chritian coalition.

There will always be someone that will twist the meanings around to fit there needs.

So when Operation Rescue and other self-proclaimed Christian anti-abortion groups assassinate doctors, bomb clinics, and kill innocent people for performing abortions or for considering abortion, we should decide that ALL Christians are responsible, and thus declare war on Christianity?

With all the fear expressed in the middle east that the united states has declared war on Islam the last thing we need is for people to take the position that since all the sept 11 terrorists where muslim then all muslins are responsible. We are on the brink of escalating this war on terrorism by attacking Iraq. We war game nuclear strikes against Lybia, Syria, Irag and Iran, and we have our scientists thinking about smaller specialized nukes for battlefield use. I wonder how we look to the word. Frustrated super power with a will toward arrogance comes to mind. Islam is no more violent structurally than Judeism or Christianity. The fundementalists in each group are a threat to their own community and those outsiders they percieve as threats.

Criminals and terrosist are the targets. War isn't always percise or clean. It is tragic that innocents die in hostilities.

But once again we didn't start it, but we will go a long way to finishing it. And how one wins a war is breaking things and killing people. At last count the Allies were winning and the terroist were in caves or what is left of them.

To all good night on this thread!

I truly wonder what winning is this time around. The conflict in Israel is a perfect example of how killing people and breaking things leads only to more breaking and more killing. I also suspect that the numbers game we are playing in afganistan is not an accurate picture of how the war is going. I do not feel very sure that this war will ever really end. I suspect it will plotz along until we tire of the chase. We will topple Sadam, leave Iraq in chaos, and in the end be only marginally safer than we were when we started.

To whomever asked who was blaming all muslims, there was a comment yesterday by some fuckhead on the board about dealing with the Middle East and it's "supposedly peaceful religion." This reminds me, don't post and then spend the night away from the board. BAD IDEA.

Withdrawal is always an option and often a prudent tactic in any conflict situation.

You said it... 'some fuckhead'.

The terrorist organisation is a legitimate target as to a lesser degree are the Taleban.

To suggest that the rest of Islam is a target is quite ludicrous.

For goodness sake, the US would have to attack the USA and UK under that proviso.

Actually . . .

And for another time worn cliche' "Time will tell"
There is no proof in the pudding. The phrase is "The proof of the pudding is in the eating." (So don't go rumaging through my food looking for a thruppenny-bit.) You have to eat it to be sure, and by then it's too late. It's a much more subtle proverb than the cliché it's become. But I don't suppose subtlety is a quality much admired by someone whose nick is clit_licker.

Here's another cliché: "Time wounds all heels."
