Every pm you send should give you a prompt to request a read receipt when you go to send them, right?

Be forewarned that it's not working well. Apparently some people are showing messages that haven't been read even though the adressee responded already.

It's not that big a deal. Apparently there are still a few bugs in the system. Personally I always thought message tracking was a bit stalkerish and too easy for people to obsess on

Yeah, I noticed that, too. The read receipts that were pending pre-server switch are still showing pending in my box, even though they've already replied.

There used to be away around the whole read recipt thing. You could check your message without the sender knowing you had. It would show up as "deleted" rather than "read".

You know, I did, too, just a bit. I would circle PMs and not open them if I didn't have time to reply because I didn't want anyone to read something into my silence and worry.

I don't think that's a bug, though.

In the previous version, if I denied receipt, the message would simply disappear from your tracking list, and you would know it had been read anyway. It was silly. Good for the people doing the tracking, but silly.

Now, you're getting responses to messages that appear as being unread, but that's simply because people forget to confirm they received them.
