I don't know how you can possibly live with snow, I just can't imagine the inconvenience of it all.

They call hurricanes typhoons when they occur in the Pacific, correct?

We're at 19F today, with an inch or so of snow on top of 1/2 inch to an inch of ice. It kept me home today, not because I can't drive in it, (learned how to in Kansas during my military days) but because the rest of the city can't.

We are supposed to get down to 7F by tomorrow night. Luckily, I just filled up the kerosene heater and went and refilled the fuel tank as well, so even if the power goes out, I'll still be toasty.

We had several inches last night here in ohio...I think we had around a foot of snow drop on us. :p It has been loads of fun though, I've stayed inside cooking gumbo, and went outside once to play with one of the dogs who loves snow.

:) Hopefully it turns out, I'm a little doubtful. I'm also my own worst critic. I just hope I can taste it considering I just burned the hell out of my tongue.

*ouch*

Just threw together what was in the freezer....chicken, imitation crab, andouille sausage..a bag o' chopped green peppers and some onions. The bummer is I have no bread to go with it. If you;re having soup you need bread. And I am so NOT going out.

Chili is good too.

Unfortunately you both are a bit too far from me to drop in for dinner ;)

My other option was a vegan bean chili, but I was missing a few of the ingredients.

Cooking just seems a comforting thing to do when you're snowbound.

I'll pack it in a dry ice container and send ya some. :) It's too bad you;re too far, there's enough for an army.

Goddess bless my husband, he says it rivals some of the gumbo he's had down south.

Sounds delicious! Lucky guy.

Actually today is about minus 12 or something. Who knows, who cares.

What prompted my post the other night was that I has just finished a session with my Master. And he keeps his room at about 14 C (or 58 F). And I kept complaining I was cold. He warned me to shut up or else he would gag me. The problem was that I was naked, tied up in bed while he was dressed (wearing three sweaters). It wasn't until my teeth started shattering that he knew I was not kidding. He then put a blanket on my and turned on the heat.

After the session was done, I quickly got dressed, wrapped myself in the blanket and lay next to him for warmth.

Oh and during the session I completely forgot about the cold :D

Not been in Montreal that long.. so all this weather's new to me.. It might be F'~#ing cold.. but.. its spectacular too! (please don;t tell me .. once you've had a couple of winters etc... I'm just livin in the now !) ;-)
