I'm bored

ooo good i have a question.. i play volleyball and swim currently.. but my shoulder... has been hurting so much, and in the middle of the night i'll wake up in intense pain, and my whole arm will be numb and i won't be able to move it, it hurts now just laying on my bed, not doing anything. help!

hmmm..do you sleep on your side ? did it start hurting because of anything specific you can think of ?

actually..now that I reread what you wrote..if your entire arm goes numb and is in pain, it's more than likely coming from either something going on in your neck, or possibly your pec...does your entire arm include your shoulder or does it start below..

nothing, i sleepon my tummy mostly, i don't know if i've pinched something... sighs. it goes like dead and it hurts when i bring it back to life.

Hey there becs nice to meet you, in terms of your arm you might of pinched a nerve from the sounds of it my opinion is go see a physio asap just to be sure. There is nothing worse than not being able to play volleyball because of a shoulder injury :)

nods, my shoulder hurts too, and i would be crying if i couldn't play vball i mean upset! i am wondering about a nerve... i don't want to go to the docs... hmph

just come on over...let me get my hands on you..we'll see what we can figure out..

Dont have to go to the doc they will just load you up with pain meds and tell you to rest. Go straight to a physio they know what athletes need. Trust me i have alot of experience in this field.

laughs softly, oh really? haha i wish there was a way to wrap my arm at night to ensure it's healing... any ideas?

Hmmm depends on which nerve and muscle you have inflammed first thing you should do is ice it for 20mins every night that will help with the swelling. But a nice warm body next to you can always help.... ;)

it's all about the ice..ice ice..and stretching..wrapping anything would make it worse
