Loved the story of mom --
Mine was that I did something wrong ( yeah go figure) , she tried to paddle me with a yard stick , broke that , and moved on to bigger things like one of her soup spoons . I guess in retrospect I shouldn't have laughed when she broke the yardstick -- that soup spoon hurt !!!

I spanked mine once...not too long ago...and she laughed at me as well...I was so mad I had to walk out of the apartment and pace the courtyard to calm down. You are lucky your mom didn't use worse than a soup spoon!!!! LOL

OUch!!! I can honestly say, my parents never raised a hand to me! Oh no...sorry, once my mom tried to whack my behind for something stupid (which I still swear I never did) and I blocked her. Pissed her off. She then waited until I turned around to go upstairs to my room before she got me! LOL She told me later her hand hurt for two days after that one! LOL

Of course, when I was a kid...I rarely got in trouble....I was too scared of my mom! LOL

I can honestly say that the two instances I just told of were the worst of the worst. I was not that bad a kid - I let my younger brother take that spot until the younger sister took over -- by then I was the golden child - married and bearing grandchildren --well not me personally - i only helped a little.
