lol.. I can't have a bath here tonight.. it's too late, and the other people in the house would wake up... so I'll have to content myself with a body rub, if I'm lucky...

Well that was stupid. I was going to post a reply, changed my mind, and then spaced out and hit the post button. So I guess I have to say something now.
Umm, I wasn't ever actually bored. I was just on the cusp of boredom. I was looking for suggestions as to the next thing to do. Fighting off boredom is totally not the same as actually being bored. Not that being bored is a bad thing. It's a nice alternative to being a neurotic type A person who can't relax because of the compulsion to always do something. People who criticize other people for being bored are not very nice, I think. It's like when I was 10 and I accidentally let those words slip past my lips, my mom would put a broom in my hand and tell me to sweep the back porch or something equally offensive and useful. Hardly the stuff excitement is made of. Not very nice at all. Although I rarely get bored, I totally respect other people's right to be bored. It feels good to be bored and complain about it sometimes. And it feels good to have other people commiserate with you. Being in bored solidarity is a very significant social activity, it seems. I'm sure many great inventions were planned that way. Maybe even a few revolutions.

There's a line from a Smiths song about this somewhere.
You are right, of course. Let's all be bored. Hopelessly bored.
Do you have a back scrubber?
