A story about the gift of Christmas...

For weeks, the poor city has been covered in bad weather,
hiding all the stars behind the dark cloud and keeping all the white snow from touching the land.
It's a night of Christmas, but yet no happy face seems to celebrate the joyful night.

In the town center, the town people gather and start yelling at each other.
"Look around us, there's cold weather everywhere, but yet not a single snow even fall to touch the land"
"Look at the sky, the night has arrived, but yet not a single star comes out in the sky"
"Christmas has forgotten about us, hiding the stars to keep us in dark, and taking away the snow to keep us from joy"
"If Christmas has forgotten about us, what are we celebrating Christmas for?"
"Let’s forget about Christmas, without the stars and the snow there will be no Christmas"

In the mid of chaotic yells, a young girl step out of the crowd.
"Why would Christmas abandon you?" asked the girl to the people.

Astounded by the sudden question, the town people start to look at each other.
"How can you not see?"
"We always have stars and the snow for Christmas."
"Now, without them, what is the meaning of Christmas?"

"So, what is the meaning of Christmas?" another question by the girl.

"Christmas if when our heart feel it, and we don't feel it right now!" Say the town people

"You know why you don't feel Christmas?" the girl giving a loud answer.
"Because you do not use you heart."
"Christmas never abandon you!"
"You are the one who decide that Christmas can come only once a year"
"You are the one who made the decision when is Christmas and when is not"
"Have you ever realized that Christmas is always on your heart?"
"Search inside your heart."
"And no matter what happened, you'll find that Christmas is always there."
"Waiting for the day that you'll be celebrating Christmas again"

Recognizing their mistake, the town people start to feel ashamed of what they've done.
Looking through their heart, they realize that tonight is the night of Christmas.
With or without the stars and the snow, the night of Christmas will always come.

"You’re right, our heart have been blinded by hatred of not having the stars and the snow."
"And we did not see that Christmas is already in our heart."
"Thank you for making us realized that tonight is Christmas."
"Even without the stars and the snow, we are going to celebrate a joyful Christmas"

The girl nods her head giving a gentle smile, and then set up her violin.
Playing a heavenly song that they imagine only the gods have ever heard.
The melody of the magical song leaves a warm feel to every heart that hears it.
And with a sound that reaches every corner of space to end of the sky…
Miracles flow to the land…
Shining fairies fly to light the sky, bringing the twinkling stars out of their hiding
Ice reindeers leap from cloud to cloud, bringing down the prettiest drops of snow to the land.
And the sound of bells jingles all around the city.
It's a Christmas just like always.

The stars are now in the sky, and the snow has paint white the land, but the girl disappears.
Leaving the town people with the most amazing Christmas they have ever celebrate.
And giving them the most precious gift of Christmas, not the stars and the snow...
But it's the heart, a place where there are joy and happiness.
Merry Christmas everyone ^__^

Thankyou for that kind sir...where do you live? Is it near the equator?

...It almost looks like New Zealand.

It's breathrtaking!!! It looks like moss growing all over the ground near the water. It's gorgeous...so lush - the whole scene. And that waterfall on the rock! Is this near your home?

I also love the clear, shallow water in the creek...we had one in the forest near my childhood home, but I doubt it's that clear these days. :(

EDIT: Looking forward to more pics!

Resizing is the forum poster's friend! :) (Well, except in my random images anything goes thread, where you can post them as big--or as small--as you want them--and where I myself practice "more is better." ;) )

Hey there, sb. ^_^ Glad to see you in here!
