All I can offer is sympathy.

Plus - admiration for your graciousness in the matter of the story review thread, and in general. I have not been involved in that project or read the thread, except that I zoomed in when I saw a post by you that suggested something about "leaving" .

Fortunately you were only referring to lightening the load you had generously accepted in that project, not departing Lit. Which is very fortunate for the rest of us, because in your grace and talent you are an ornament to this place, and we would all be much the poorer for your absence.

I do have a cure....

It's guaranteed to work! All you have to do is run a marathon each day for the next two weeks. As soon as you cross the finish line the 14th time I promise your cold will be gone.

I've never actual finished the cure. After my first marathon I died... which is a cure of sorts.

Echinachea, lots of vitamin C (in its natural form and pill form too) and if it's secondarily bacterial (sinus infection etc), add Propolis to that...

Whisky and hot water, in equal parts, plus a teaspoon of honey stirred in. Sip and savour. Does nothing for the cold, just makes you feel good about it.
