Aren't there some vineyards near Adelaide?

There sure are....The Barossa Valley is right there....very beautiful country there. Don't get me wrong....it was beautiful but I missed home to much.

I just mentioned the wine country as I used to know someone who lived in Adelaide and thought he had mentioned the vineyards. He wanted to send me some Australian wines, but I don't care for them.

I have to give you points for having the guts to move out of the country. I don't think that I could do it. It's hard enough as it is for me to live in Arizona while my closest friends live in NYC, Montana & Colorado.

Welcome home Yes!

Funny, I didn't have any of the wine while I was out there but got a bottle as soon as I got back....and you know....your right, I didn't care for it either.

I wouldn't trade it for the world having gone, but I do know I would never live outside the United States, we have so much here that just isn't available anywhere else ....

Actually, Den, I have had a few Australian Syrahs that have been tasty. I am not sure which part of Australia they came from, but is a lovely mellow taste. For a red, it complements fish and other delicate dishes very well. I also know what you are talking about. I have travelled and lived too many places. I have friends all over and miss them greatly.

Yes... What were accomendations like and the price in US dollars? I would go for 10 days or more to surf. No need for elaborate places to stay.

Hello DLL. I am assuming that you are getting the snow pouring down now? My sis lives there and she said it is nasty right now.

Beco! Come out and play... Intelligent, sexy women here. ;)

I see that!

I swear, dude, if I were Bi, I would do most of these women.

Pardon, once more, of taking over the thread, but I find that the women you attract and yourself are quite interesting. Plus, it is raining again and I am bored. I tend to run off at the mouth, when I can not do the types of activity that I like.

The Santa Anna's, I think. Usually the winds kick up a good front, it is just pouring rain or snow all over. Whisk me off to Fiji... LOL

As far as the women; you are a delightful, intelligent man who has a perverted mind. Of course you would attract the same type of women. ;)

Thank you, thank you! Yes, Arlington is growing and more people are moving there. Its pretty big and there are some cool clubs and places to hang. There are lots of hot spots like that around here in old DC.

Wish some of that rain would drift over to Arizona. We've set some ridiculous record for days without rain (over 125 days and counting). It is overcast today, but it does't look like it will rain still. :( Fire season is sure to be a bitch.

Are you near Scottsdale? I went there last Feb for a wedding.

I'm not too far from Scottsdale; just a hop, skip & jump on the freeway.

If you were here last year, you probably couldn't miss the rain. We had a great season last year, the variety of colorful blooms on South Mountain where I hike were stunning.

Oh honey. Fire season is gonig to be a bitch for the third year in a row. The problem is (like with Rodeo fire) is that peeps are stupid when camping, hunting, throwing out ciggies from the car, etc. As far as the last year's rain, it was a dollap. I keep my fingers crossed for you.

Happens every single year right?

Yes, it happens every year. AZ has dealt with a record of no rainfall. I have to fly back there soon to pick up some of my things that I left behind and hope to not see any wildfires.

I hope your Sunday is treating you well. :)

Whats going on in Cally?

The Southern Hemisphere has enjoyed a fairly active streak of cyclonic activity over the past 10 days, and that trend is forecast to continue for several more days. The resulting swells will affect the California Coast starting in early April and continue through nearly mid month. These will not be major swells. Let me say that again- These will not be major swells. They will, however, be better than anything we've seen thus far in the young SPAC season and will certainly be playful at the best exposed breaks

*taken from Surfline*

Though, I always check where I lived...

Here a man from Maryland drowned trying to surf Hatteras. Come on! If you don't know how to surf, please do not get into over 6 ft. waves with an undertow...
