My name is Akhmed and I am Iraqui Assylum seeker. I have just arrived in the UK. In the next month I will go to live in a city in the North of England in a house given to me by the council. I will get a state pension and a work permit!

I will be taking a house away from someone who really needs it and has lived in this country all there lives. I will be taking a job away from an english person who may have had no job for months. And I get state stuff too.

Sorry to disillusion you but, you have to stop listening to those guys who tell you to hang onto the bottom of lorries as they leave Calais.

A) Nobody wants a council house in the North of England. The council are just putting you in there to keep the dope addicts out of the place.

B) You don't get a state pension until you're in your sixties.

C) A work permit allows you to apply for jobs. It doesn't give you a job.

D) There are no jobs in the North of England. The mines and steelworks have all shut. People work in call centres and phone help lines.

You could always head a bit further North and try Scotland. They might have more luck understanding your interesting variation on the English language.
