I quit smoking... er... I'm *trying* to quit smoking.

Today, I broke down.

I decided I wanted a cig...and I'd just go pick up a pack.

Oh...and while I'm at 7-11, a half-pint of Haagen Dazs would be nice, too.

I get to the store...and whaddaya know... Blue Bell (it's a Texas thing) ice cream is on sale - 2 pints for $3. How could I resist, right?

I figure that will last me forever... no harm done...

I get to the register.

"Pack of Marlboro Ultra Lights, please."

"You want the 3 for 2 special?" the clerk says.


Hmm.... Well, hell. What a deal! How could I resist?



I was so embarrassed by my purchase of 3 packs when I only wanted/needed one... that I didn't pay attention to the total, just ran my card and left.

I got home... looked in the bag.


It was a buy 3 get 2 free special.

Anybody want a cig??
