I'm a fucking idiot- kinda starting to get depressed about it

Nope, if you were stating your belief you would have had to add in any one of these posts that what you were saying was in your own opinion. Alas, you did not. Even KRC had the decency to begin one of her posts with "I think" instead of passing her judgment off as fact.

I get that you're grouchy. I get that you don't like the dude for whatever reason, and I get that you for some reason believe some random stranger over another random stranger. I couldn't care less if you think Joe Shmoe is this or that. I'm just saying don't spread retarded rumors. If you can't prove and/or own what you say, then shut the fuck up.

1st Amendment. Learn it, love it , live it.

Oh yeah you are from Canada

Just got out of court- went far better then I thought it would.

We had to wait forever, finally got called up, and the conversation went something like this,

"Well, son, we've got a new program. It's your first offense so it's either 3 days, a $210 fine, or you can go to this program, do community service and get it wiped off your record."

Me: Yeah, I'll do that.

He never asked me how I plead. There was no "guilty" or "not guilty" thing- which was weird, because most of the people were asked. I think he assumed a guilty because- what could I do? They gave me a month to pay court costs, and after that month, I gotta do 20 hours of community service.

I was so scared, but it wasn't that bad at all. I feel a lot better now. Thanks to everyone who's supported me this morning before I left, and to everyone who came back during the day. I'm gonna go back and read over the pages I missed now.

This has kind of shown me how much I really need to get my shit together. Things have been piling up one after another for a long time now, and I feel like I'm slinking farther and farther. I wanna be stronger then that.

Glad it went well for you. Keep up the fight to be better than you are. You'll be okay.

Oh;

Okay you douchbags.

If he got arrested for DUI last night which is a misdemeanor his case would not of been settled the next day as he is telling us. There is a matter of the police filing the paperwork. Then as a misdemeanor he is required to have an attorney which if he is broke is a public defender which he has to apply for. A DUI case would not of been settled the next day. Use your brain children.

Suck it. Suck it long and suck it hard.

What is it about I don't care if S(he) is spouting Her/His lifestory or not that you don't understand?

All you have done is fact checked her/his story.

Fucking HELLLLLLLL, why do you all forget the basics here?

The first amendment, ah yes. Freedom of speech is protected by the first amendment. But, are there not exceptions? Such as defamation, slander, libel, fighting words that cause riots, trade secrets, etc.

Wiki:

"Freedom of speech in the United States is protected by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution and by many state constitutions and state and federal laws, with the exception of obscenity, defamation, incitement to riot, and fighting words,[1] as well as harassment, privileged communications, trade secrets, classified material, copyright, patents, military conduct, commercial speech such as advertising, and time, place and manner restrictions.

Criticism of the government and advocacy of unpopular ideas that people may find distasteful or against public policy, such as racism, sexism, and other hate speech are almost always permitted. There are exceptions to these general protections, including the Miller test for obscenity, child pornography laws, speech that incites imminent lawless action, and regulation of commercial speech such as advertising. Within these limited areas, other limitations on free speech balance rights to free speech and other rights, such as rights for authors and inventors over their works and discoveries (copyright and patent), protection from imminent or potential violence against particular persons (restrictions on fighting words), or the use of untruths to harm others (slander). Distinctions are often made between speech and other acts which may have symbolic significance."

Let us check out the definition of defamation.

"Defamation—also called calumny, vilification, traducement, slander (for transitory statements), and libel (for written, broadcast, or otherwise published words)—is the communication of a statement that makes a claim, expressly stated or implied to be factual, that may give an individual, business, product, group, government, or nation a negative image. It is usually a requirement that this claim be false and that the publication is communicated to someone other than the person defamed (the claimant).[1]"

Even your first amendment says you're wrong. You got anything else to lean on or are you willing to just concede that you were doing nothing but passing off rumors as facts?

Yeah and December I just proved my case. No way a DUI case is settled over night as the OP just said. That is a fact. So stop sucking up all the oxygen defending an obvious liar. You can easily google Kentucky DUI laws and penalties and apply common sense if you have any.

Don't allow this bullshitter to pluck at your heart strings December. you will be disappointed.

I gather you know what town or city he lives in and you got a hold of the police precinct there? I assume since you're passing this off as fact yet again that you spoke to whomever was in charge and verified what you posted here?

Again, I couldn't care less if the kid is telling the truth about a damn thing, I just would like you to admit that you don't have a clue if he is or isn't for real. It's not cool to start rumors.

You could have just said long ago that you in fact have no idea what is and is not the truth and that your judgments are your own opinions and not facts. I'd have been happy and laid off your grouchy 2 foot tall ass ages ago.

You didn't prove anything! There was no fact to be had in your post. And once more, I'm not defending him, I am defending every person's right to be innocent until proven guilty.

I already am disappointed. In you. Until today I had thought you were a good addition to the GB. Some much needed fluff and humour. Now I see that you are like the other trolls. Incapable of admitting when you're wrong, even when it's something so incredibly minor. All you had to do was put "imo" somewhere in all that mumbo jumbo. But no, instead you cannot admit you were wrong. You even tried to use the first goddamn amendment to back up your claims! Hello, it's never been legal to defame anyone. Learn it. Love it.

And I am disappointed in you as I thought you were rational and intelligent. One thing I know is the legal system and how ponderously slow it moves. I know for a fact a DUI case would not of been settled the next day. The person who can't admit they are wrong is you dear. You may not like my style and as for that I could give a flying fuck. The fact is he is a liar. This is a fabricated story for attention. Even without googling Kentucky I know this. You have proven yourself an idiot and gullible.

Kiddo here posted that his actions are fine for Perry County, but not for somewhere else. From what I have gathered from his post and from Google, Perry County is pretty small. When I was a counselor for street kids in B.C. here in Canada, I lived in a small town surrounded by a small county. The legal system there was effective for small time crimes, but anything bigger was handed off to bigger cities nearby. There were several kids picked up on first time offenses, bailed out by myself and other counselors. These kids had nobody else. Several times they were required to show up at court to be processed the next day, at which time they were given much the same options the OP listed here for a first time offense. Most of the kids ended up doing community service with the program I worked for.

So, while the small community I have first hand knowledge in is not a small community in Kentucky U.S.A., it is in fact not outside the realm of possibilities that the story may have happened just as he said it happened. I recognize my experiences are not proof of anything other than my having lived those experiences, but they do lend something to the story. I'm not saying I believe him, and I'm not saying I don't believe him. I couldn't care less either way since there is no real way for me to prove or disprove his story without invading his personal life. I am saying you're full of hot air, in my opinion. :)

I wasn't t he only one to fly through a DUI- they literally did about one a minute. You went up to the podium, the judge said something, you said OK and then they moved on to the next person. Some of the folk weren't even there- they showed up on the bottom left corner of a TV screen (The judge and prosecutor were on the others, one was blank).

Like I said, they didn't even ask how I wanted to plead, just gave me community service. I kept thinking that to- that I was supposed to get a lawyer. But no one said anything about it. I never got my Miranda rights or anything, either. Occasionally, if it was a felony (mine was a misdemeanor because it was just a roach and "contraband") the judge would, before he said anything else, just say, "You need a lawyer. Can you afford one?"

The other guy, every time with one exception, replied, "no,"

Then some chick would yell out "District" followed by a number, like, "District 3", and the judge would give them a different date to come back.

Apparently, we have a lot of DUIs or something, because there was no bullshit waiting around on them. They had it as efficient as I've ever seen anything.

So, what happened while I was gone? You folk seem to have gotten into a "is he real" vs "is he not" argument. That's cool. I'm fine with that. I do wonder what kind of 'attention' one could get from an internet message board- and why some people seem so obsessed with it. If I wanted attention, I'd do one of the many attention seeking things I do in the really real world. I do occasionally post something interesting about my life on here, especially if I'm freaking out, but it's for the real feedback that some posters actually give.

Seems that there are a few folks on here with a bit to much time on their hands and a bit to much love for this board. Having said that, if you want to question me on my own life, let's go. I'll out Professor Oak you.

Yes, you are a fucking idiot.

Deal.

BTW, kiss your teaching career goodbye if you've been straight up about everything.

Your opinion means little. Your experiences in Canada have little bearing on the reality of the judicial system in the US. A DUI is considered serious and treated as such. There is no way it was remedied the next day. You can think what you like and frankly I don't give a fuck. What you have proven is that you are fairly ignorant and your grasp of reality is limited. If you want to believe this tripe go for it. That is your prerogative and I'm not about to argue with you further on the matter. My opinion is he is a liar and nothing you say would change that. (shrug)

Did I say I was from Perry County? *sweatdrop* because... you know... only drugged up losers are from THAT place- not me- not me ever-that place is a shithole... not that I would ever know- having never been there...

</end obvious bullshit>

Seriously, I didn't mean to put that. Where did I say that? Because everything bad in the world spawns from that fucking place. I'm not even sure how, scientifically, so much bullshit can be condensed into one fucking abandoned mine that people are trying to persuade themselves doubles as a town. The fact that I came out of there makes me a worse person then anyone else on this board. I started out behind. I want to climb up, but you see how well I've been doing.

I hate that place.

Having said that, if you want to question me on my own life, let's go.

You don't owe anyone here a single shred of information about your life. Remember that.

Answer all, none or some of these:

1. What is the story with the bi guy VBM claims you PM'd to say that the things you post here are all bullshit to get people going?

2. Your date of birth?

3. Eye colour?

4. Fave texture?

5. Fave sound?

6. Three things that you love to smell?

7. Most influential person in your life to date?

8. Last time you cried out of sorrow? Out of joy?

9. Clean shaven face or no? Which do you prefer?

10. Boxers, briefs, or boxer briefs?

11. If you can't continue on with being a teacher, what else do you have in mind for a career?

12. Fave cuss word?

13. Do you believe in ghosts?

14. I believe you have stated that you're gay, not bi. Correct me if I am wrong on that. Have you ever made love with a woman?

15. What are the top three most attractive things that you love about your current boyfriend? Can be physical or not.

16. Name your top three bad habits.

17. Have you ever won a fist fight?

18. Do you have any quirky fetishes?

19. Which word is better in your opinion: erotic, erotica

20. Fave movie of all time?
