Hello, I am new to this site. At the moment I am illustrating for my own work, I have worked on many other books in my spare time (As I am currently a student studying fine art).
I do write my own books because I found that its better to do the job yourself.
However, I discovered this site.
And I am wondering if anyone is maybe in need of an illustrator.
I will put a site up shortly, but could someone help me out, tell me the best way to get started in illustrating for upcoming unpublished erotic novels, and if it is even needed.

My work is based mainly on the idea of an erotic novels contents, what it should do and how I believe it should work. I work emotionless, so that the scenes may not be predudiced with moral ideas. It is monotone and I show a scene by kind of merging the images together, usually in imaginary white spaces. It is not the direct image, so if someone was to talk about fallatio, I would draw the movement in a sequence but dissected from the usual notion of the forms.
Youll have to wait and see when my site is ready. but any help would be brilliant and if anyone is interested in working with me, then that would be brilliant!
thankyou

Welcome aboard, DC.
I would "...have to wait and see when (your) site is ready."

Illustration for someone else's writing is an intimate relationship. You have to connect with their writing and they with your imagery.

As for getting started....... posts some examples: your illustrations for your own writing and perhaps some sample for pieces you have read.

Good luck!

Have worked with three or four illustrators - been mostly successful. Contact me through my webpage - not here, hardly visit Lit (as you can see the number of posts & the join date).:)

Hi DC. I'm contemplating publishing my St Cat's series (at some unspecified point in the future, when I've completed another half dozen chapters and have proof read and corrected!) as an ebook and would like to have some illustrations (for a split in any income, should any arise!). My stories are roughly themed around life at a girl's boarding school and my hope is that illustrations should follow that theme, ie, styled in the same way of illustrations in children's books of the 1950s and 1960s (plus a suitable cover). Give me a shout if you're interested. (Also posting this as a thread)

I could use one

I could use an illustrator for my stories about The Crew.
You could read a few, then we could correspond.
