Something wrong, Mantra?

Eh,

been a grouch for that last few days... long week at work. No motivation to write at all...

Evening, Angelus. I'm doing quite well, considering I just finished a marathon read of the last Harry Potter book.

And you?

I'm fairly good.

I've just been writing like mad, finishing Eldest and trying to stay away from anything about the last Harry Potter book for as long as I can.

Eldest? You mean the book that comes after Eragon in the Inheritence Trilogy by that one guy whose name I can't think of at the moment?

Why would you avoid the last Harry Potter book? I just finished reading it about two hours ago, and I think it's one of the best.

So, how's the MS coming along?

Yeah, that's the one. The one from Christopher Paolini.

I just want to avoid anything that has been said about it as I brought it on Saturday but want to read the whole series from the first one as I do every time I buy the latest one. It's a crazy thing to do but it's just fun.

The MS is going well. I was thinking about putting a part of it on here but I'm not sure about it.

*huggles* how are you Angelus... I am avoiding HP as well... I have to work at 4am so I am off to bed... tell her I said hi and gives her some hugs and kisses from me! Nighty nighty!

I am good right now. I am just taking a break from working on my MS right now but I'm good.

I would say yuck to working at 4am but I know what that is like so I wish you a very good sleep and I hope that you have a great day at work tomorrow.

I will do that. She will probably return them.

Yeah, that's the name. What do you think of his writing so far?

Well, you can expect me to not spill the beans that Harry dies--Urp! Whoops. Sorry. To rectify that, I'll tell you that when that happens, it's not the end of the book. ;)

Well, it's your MS, do as you please with it.

Did you read my last post to IV? What did ya think of it?

I liked the last post, it was actually a fairly good one.

I like his writing, it is better than I expected it to be. I cannot wait to see what he does with the last one of the series.

Oh well, if he dies then he dies....

Nah, let everyone pay for it when it is published as bad as that may sound.

Thank ye. It took me awhile to that post typed up. I sure hope Wolfsister likes it.

Yes, Christopher Paolini is a good writer. Plus, it's not everyday that the author's very first work gets published, and then turned into a B-movie. We actually get to see him develop his writing skills. With most authors, what you're reading has usually been done after they've honed their skills.

In the way of Harry Potter, believe what you want. I'm not saying another word. :D

She just told me that she did, it was perfect.

I know what you mean about honing your skills, I know I have since I began writing, especially with my novel. I know that this place has helped a lot with my writing as well.

Lovely! Good to hear that the boss approves! ;)

I didn't do a whole lot of free-style writing in school, it was all formatted and had to be done a certain way. I hate doing papers like that. I say, let me write what I damn well please and don't make me do it a way I don't like.

I think it was all the reading I did between then and now that has really helped me with my writing skills, because I saw how real authors wrote, and I incorperated some of that in my own writing. But, most of all, I tend to write sort of like how I talk in RL. If it's something that I'll say normally or close to it, I'll write it.

This place is the first place where I have actually done a mass amount of my own writing. I like it because of the free-style, which, as mentioned before, allows me to write how I damn well please. :D

So, enough about me, how's Wolfsister?

hello lads and lassies, Jedi, you gave away more then you should have. but i agree that it is one of the best, i finished it in about 6 -7 hours.i have to read it again though, tradition demands it.

Heya ren.

It looks like I should get straight down to reading the last one then if it is that good although I wish there weren't so many spoilers around. It makes you not want to read the book when you can just read what happens somewhere else.

I didn't give away that much! You finished in 6 to 7 hours? What did you do, read the first sentence of every paragraph? How lond did it take for the second go around?

And Angelus, if you want to continue with your original plan, then don't feel pressured to jump ahead and read the final book. Besides, reading the entire series first is not as strange as what my mom does. She reads the last chapter first! The absurdity of the idea!

i had a post college reading level in third grade, i read very fast. and i havent read it through the second time yet, my sister is in the process of reading it, and she reads much slower then me.

Ahh, let me guess: you found that out from the SATs? I wouldn't place much stock in those bloody things. Plus, that was back in the third grade.

Anyways, I got the book mid-day Saturday, and I finished it about 4 1/4 hours ago. Total time to read: about 15 hours, if that, I'm not sure on my calculatons.
