Illusion Vale (OOC)

Incidently, what do people think of my newest story?

Warning: If you don't like erotic fiction, then don't read!

Interesting, and short, read, Wolfsister.

Anyways, I have a question regarding the Magi. If one were to use its abilities without the aid of the other person, what would it be like? Would the Magi have full knowledge of the magic and what it can do? Would it be more powerful than the host by itself, but not as powerful as the two working together?

Well, it is only supposed to be a short erotica. Sorry, didn't know I had a word count to work towards....

Simply put, you cannot use magic without the aid of your Magi. If you have a Magi, then they ARE your magic. Nothing to it.

A Magi can refuse to aid magically. If you treat them right, though, they'll become a simple extension of yourself and sooner or later, you won't recognise that you're two beings. However, only master mages and wizards are at this level. Not even the Queen of the Fairies or the Elven Queen have gone to this level yet. Though they are close.

And a Magi can only act in extreme cases in that way. Usually they have to have the host's permission to perform magic. However, if the host is in grave and immediate danger, they can overcome the natural magical barriers of the Host's mind and act defensively.

These are usually short bursts of ultra defensive magics and usually deplete the Magi's resources for some time.

Its like having a magical pet. You must tell it to do things before it can. And it must decide to listen to you in order to do what you tell it to in the first place.

No, Wolfsister, you didn't have a word cout to work towards. I just happen to like stories that are fairly long, which typically means the author put a good amount of work into it. But no matter. To each his/her own.

How interesting. Is it at all possible for the Magi to basically say "Fuck you, I'm doing what I damn well please" to the host, and actually go through with it?

I'm Baaack! Sort of ...

I just wanted to dash in real quick, say hi, and let everyone know that My husband, cat and I safely made it to our new home in Tennessee. Once things settle down a bit, I can come back and hang out on the boards again.

Until then, be well everyone :)

So I didn't put any thought into it? Hmmm... sure.

Anyway, in terms of the magi. Essentially the magic is shared by both the host and the Magi. The magi can't do what you said because it needs the permission of the host, (which will be performing the magic).

The magi cant use magic on its own and the host cannot perform magic on their own either. A two way street.

In terms of that great defensive mechanism, a magi can only pull that sort of magic out because the host has sent out an unconscious cry for help.

Welcome back lol, sort of :D

It'll be good to have you around again E, as we've all missed you. Hope that everything settles okay and that things go smoothly (what with the unpacking and discovering you've missed several boxes... lol!) JK, hun.

Have fun!! And hope you get back to us soon.

No, Wolfsister, I didn't mean that you didn't put any thought into it. I meant, as a rule of thumb for me, when a story is short, there generally isn't all that much to it, and therefore not quite as good. There are exceptions to that, but I won't get into that.

And the Magi can't say "Fuck you, I'm doing what I damn well please" eh? Darn. There goes my grand plan for Eeth and his Magi, and the explanation for Eeth's restriction of his magic. Back to the drawing board then.

One way to get a restriction for him is that the Magi won't allow him to use all of his potential. For whatever reason.

I'll think of something new, but I loved my original idea a lot. It was a very...entertaining idea; very...devious.

Hiya E!!

It is definitely good to see you again. I hope that everything is going well with you and your move.

Me? I am doing well, writing, relaxing and doing other stuff.... same thing, different day.

I like my AV as well.... it just seems to stand out to me.

What was that about being a sucker for winged men again?

It's good to see you too :)

Everything is going pretty well here :) The drive was good, our apartment is really coming along nicely, though we *really* need book shelves--like *a lot* of book shelves!

Also, I'm too short to reach most things--it's terribly hilarious! It's totally a tall person's apartment :p

I'm glad things are going well for you! I have to get back on the writing ball myself. My post was the first thing I've written in weeks because of the move.

Erm ... yeah ... winged men *coughs and blushes* I'm quite the sucker for them :D

I know what you mean about having book shelves. I know that I am going to need a lot of them when I move again but that won't be for a while.

Oh, you mean that it's my kind of apartment?
Not sure if that is a good or bad thing....

I just finished a new story to put up on Lit... hopefully it should be tomorrow. If it is I would love it if you read it and tell me what you think.

Oh, it's a good thing that I have wings then, they aren't terribly white but at least they're wings.... :D

It's uh ... totally your kind of apartment :D It's okay--I've got a really good step stool ;)

I'd love to read your story! Let me know what the title is and I'll look for it tomorrow. Come to think of it, I have one of Wolfsister's to read too :) Man I got a lot to catch up on :p

That's okay--I like it when the wings are a little sooty ;)

Wolfsister's is a very good read. When I read it I wasn't surprised by it, well I was but it was an extremely good read.

They are sooty at that, they just go to show that I'm not totally innocent.

It is called Tomboy... it is slightly different to what I've written before and the funniest thing is that I am already planning the next one.

Sweet! I look forward to ready both of them :D

I have to get back to my WIP, Nocturne, at some point. When I left it before I moved, I was like 80 some pages in--over half way done! (about ...)
