Illusion Vale: 2nd Edition OOC

Okay, through drop-outs, absences, inactivity and the like, I have found myself with less then the desired number for Illusion Vale: A Spirit's Cry. That thread is still active and you are more than welcome to join or re-join with your characters or newer ones - however I thought I'd breathe some more life into the Illusion Vale universe.

This thread will essentially be a prequel of the first. That is, the rising of the Kin and the downfall of the original Guardians. Storylines and the like will come in later posts.

Anyway, this thread here is just for any interested players out there. If you're a part of the original thread, you're more than welcome to join. So register your interest and we'll see if we've got enough players to make up a decent thread.

The thread bare story line is as follows.

The Guardians (humans) are the generals and leaders for the different nations of Illusion Vale. Having just put down a major (evil) uprising from a nation called The Kin, they have themselves become corrupted, evil and egotistical. The people of the Vale see this and no longer wish for the Guardians to be their leaders. As the Guardians become more tyrannical, resistance cells form and eventually come together to rise up and dethrone the Guardians. In a twist of irony, they call themselves collectively, The Kin - a second generation of the first uprisers, but with good purposes instead of evil.

This story will be the telling of the second generation of The Kin and how they overthrow the Guardians. You can play either a Guardian (stats, spells and abilities will be allocated to you) or any of the Kin. You can also be a normal member (traders, merchants, innkeepers, peasants, servants etc) if you can find a way to fit yourself into the story line.

Some rules will be (added to later)
*All humans are Guardians. Their have their own hierarchy, but they are all considered 'nobility' in Illusion Vale. A human cannot be a slave or servant or lower class. All humans have magical ability in some form or another.
*Magi's are not yet active in this world, so the magical force for Illusion Vale is more the generic magical energy to found in most fantasy fictions.
*Main races playable are the Avians, Elves, Ctarl Ctarl (neko), Elementals, Dwarves - and anything you can come up with (PM me first).
*Centaurs are not playable as they do not yet exist.
*Dragon's are not a playable race, but Dragoons (Protectorates for the Dragon Race) are. These Dragoons can only be Elven in nature.
*Vampires and werewolves and cross species such as these are playable. Humans can become these (through unfortunate circumstances) and they not always evil in nature.
*Minotaurs do not yet exist.
*If you wish an 'evil' character (other than an Evil Guardian) PM me first.
*Not all Guardians are evil, but the majority are.

For this I will not be implementing the "Sprite" feature - so this world has more flexibility with character movements and such. I will likely take on most NPCs unless they are character created (which will be the character's player's responsibility) and a few of the 'main' characters needed for the story line.

This post is still not finished but that should be enough for a general interest. I just want to see if anyone's interested first before I go too indepth.

Oh, come on Wolfsister...I'm still working on the first Vale; now you want to go and add a second one? Geez.

LOL, this has a less specific storyline and I won't be 'controlling' it through sprites. So it gives players a little more freedom. I think that the first IV lacks that.

If this does go ahead, which I hope by all means that it does then I would like to take a part in it. I have an idea for a human or elven assassin; not sure which one at the moment but it would be fun to play either race.

Kewl, well let me know. So far we have you and Angelus.

Angelus: You can be a either a human (though I'm not sure why he would be a 'lower' class citizen) or an elf. Alternatively, you can have an elf/human hybrid. Generally they aren't frowned upon but they are a 'lower' class within the Guardian society and a bit higher in the Vale society.

Valian basically don't give a crap about mixing bloodlines, and hybrids are rare anyway for such a diverse group of species, but Guardians don't exactly like it. (though they're not adverse to sex with another species.)

Heyya, just letting people know that this thread is closed. Due to limits on my time, I have decided not to start this new thread. Sorry for those that wanted to join, but don't forget the original thread (which still lives after almost three years) and either join there or keep up your characters.
