• The Matluk (alien) mother ship arrives in Earth orbit. (See post 1.)​
• The current occupants of the ISS (Expedition 99, aka X-99) disembark aboard the emergency lifeboat.​
• The lifeboat is "rescued" by the Matluk mother ship.​

April 24, 2035:

• Emelia, the Matluk Emissary, reveals that with permission she has "occupied" the body of Air Force Captain Sally Keen, Commander of X-99.
• Through Sally Keen, Emelia will be the Emissary between the two species.
• She announces that the Matluk come in peace and that the X-99 crew will be home soon, safe and sound.

May 1, 2035:

• A Matluk shuttle lands in NYC at the United Nations. (See post 10.)
  • It returns the X-99 astronauts.
  • It brings Emelia to speak to the UN's General Assembly. (See post 11.)
• She accuses Humans of destroying their planet, then says the Matluk are here to help "turn things around".
• The address isn't well received, and Emelia leaves without delay.
• The parents of Sally Keen accept an invitation to the mother ship. Upon the demand of US President Angela Paulson, they are accompanied by Secret Service Agent M'Chel Starr.

I was just about to tell you both that I can't write this morning when I saw Annie's posts go up. Cool, something to read. I have a boring but lengthy meeting that starts an hour away in just over an hour, so I won't write for a few hours. I will get to read, though, when the others are watching me, which is usually all the time. (I'm not an important part of the meeting, but I have to be there anyway.)

Don't wait for me. None of my characters have to post right now to keep the story moving. I'm enjoying this already. You are both great writers.

I stopped where I did with the docking because I have somewhere to be. Do with it what you will, I guess. I didn't really point a direction.

Weeping, if Lupo wants to take them inside the ship, just imagine something between Star Wars, Star Trek, and whatever. Of course, they will only be taken down passageways to their quarters or to a viewing room or something, not near sensitive areas for now.

Human, you talked about introducing an alien in a PM to me. Feel free to do so, remembering what we talked about. (Sorry, Weeping, you don't get to know yet. But soon. Probably tomorrow, the next day. Unless you, too, want to create an alien character?)

She is a confident woman capable of doing anything she puts her mind to. Brave, outgoing. A strong leader.​

Lesbian. Quietly married to a woman. They are not "in the closet". They are simply private people. Besides, they didn't think speaking out about their relationship would help either of their careers.​

I really like reading your stuff, Angel. We have to come up with two characters who interact directly. Ideas? I write males mostly but can write a female. I'm not attached to any one particular sexual orientation, though, I do write mostly heterosexual for male characters. I know that's not really important since we are keeping the sex to a minimum, but I thought I should say it.

For both of you, I want to create some English-speaking characters in more foreign lands. Any ideas?

He also helped her to understand she had issues with guys because they were always given positions of authority over her. She never felt like an equal and she had to prove herself to a 'man’.

Although she has had sexual relations with men, she was never treated right by them and this reinforced her dislike of the male gender.

I'd be very interested in the VP meeting the cheerleader. Preparing for what almost amounts to a coup, he would be horny and looking for some fun. Like I said, the sex is minimal. Annie prefers that, and I honor her choice! But that doesn't mean we can't do some fade-to-black that leaves the readers reaching for their personals.

Just let me know, here, so that Annie knows what's coming, maybe?

But do we want a writer who wrote, then may have just abandoned her threads? I didn't actually ask about her past. I only read some of her stuff.

I'm new here, so I don't really have a feel for whether that is a no-no or not. I know that on my previous RP site, it was sort of "six of this, half a dozen of the other" case by case thing, you know?
