Illiana's Library.

*arches a brow* title what?

it's a government issued medical insurance for those on limited incomes. Like the disabled, who are on SSI.

Unfortunately, it's STATE run, so what is covered varies from state to state. For instance, Illinois doesn't cover ANY dental work at all. They think it's cheaper to spend thousands treating infections from having teeth pulled than spending a grand total of 300 a year for dental cleanings and checkups.

*I greet the Rascal with a big hug, leaving my arm around his waist, caressing his lower back as he settles in to sit with me.

Hi Noon, ya ornery sexy bastard! What's up today?

*Grinning*
:D

He smiles back at her, reaching his arm to wrap around her in turn, sliding it around her waist and resting his fingers on her hip. "Well, I'm not particularly ornery, so while I'm not sure if you're talking about me, I'll go ahead and answer.

"Not much is up today...yet."
He glances down at her, his eyes narrowing somewhat suggestively, before he chuckles and settles in.

"By the way, anyone i have a story with-and a few of you are generally around this thread-I'm going to be out of town tomorrow and Friday. So no replies for the next couple of days." He nods. "You guys can tell that to anyone who might end up looking for me."

Apply for SSI. You could also apply for title 19. Just go in to your local DHS for the title 19 coverage, and your local Social Security Administration office for SSI.

*Stretching up to meet his lips with mine, a soft kiss to let him know I was kidding.*

I'm glad you're here tonight at least. What's got you busy this weekend?

*smiles at Noon* Out of town for work or pleasure? :D

Illi and dragon, I teach adolescents and I love that ... I can't imagine caring for younger children in a less structured setting. I think I'd lose my mind. When i read about the days your having, i shudder.

As for medical testing ... so many of the things they would find aren't things they can do anything about yet, so i don't want to know. There are a few cancers that my doctors know are possibilities and are keeping an eye on me for, but i don't want to know any more than that. *sigh* Sometimes ignorance is bliss.

Sister, i'd volunteer to write with you but i don't know that I could write a convincing fight scene :(

*drifts back from the rw zone out she went on.* I think I will be going to bed shortly. I am so exhausted. Sorry guys. I am glad I got to talk to you all for a little bit though.

It wouldn't be so bad if she didn't act like her father times a hundred....

it would be easier if they had some structure from their father but they don't and he is god in their world so anything i try to accomplish backfires, and i refuse to be disrespected by a 4 or 6 year old.

The way I think of it is imagining the fight scenes in Troy, or 300, or Gladiator, and imagine how you would describe it in writing. In my case, I'm a DnD geek girl from way back when it was still dice, pencils and paper, so I'm used to describing a fight with medieval weapons.

Good night Illi.

I am ashamed to say that I was never really into the game (though I remember trying the old board game ages ago). Didn't mind the tv series that much though (I am proud to be 80s dammit)

Well, truth be told, i didn't care for DnD actually. I played several lesser known games that I thought were better thought out as for the rules and mechanics of the game. They allowed for more latitude to use imagination and be creative, rather than being locked into rules. I used to joke with my friend that our games were roleplaying, DnD was rule playing. But if I tell people i played Dragonquest, or Arcanum, they just say, 'Huh?'

wow, really? I was about to log off when i read that... i am shocked at you, raven. lol. I prefer newer rpg's (not on the game consoles though) things like vampire and werewolf and wraith and changeling.

About the only even remotely similar game I'll play is Magic: The Gathering. Most of my gaming I limit to video games, though I did find a Battletech game that I liked. Probably because of the Firefly mech my friend built that I used...won the game by lighting half the field ablaze.
