Put the thread starter in ignore and the whole thread will disappear.

Since the upgrade there have been sporadic problems with ignoring threads. Last I saw Manu thought it was fixed. Maybe if you wait a while?

If I want to ignore a thread I do just that - I simply don't open it.

dgo, you could also try using firefox, with the ffvb plugin. that way, even if someone else quotes a person on your ignore list, you'll never see it.
