I walk every day but took a longer walk than usual tonight.

It was just starting to get dark, the air was fresh with spring, the ground soft with the thaw, the breeze was cool and moist and the birds were still singing.

Now, after seeing this thread, I want to go check out the stars.

Since I'm still at work, I took a walk out back to smoke a cigarette. The night is gorgeous and the air is crispy clean. The stars are a bit faint, but there's a mess of 'em.

Oh and these weird beetles are jumping all over the place. ICK!

It';s rainy here, plus their is too much light pollution.

I walked to class for the first time in a while today, it was nice. It feels good to be able to somewhat walk again.

Cloudy, plus all three dogs were along, so I had to keep an eye on them.

The woods are moist and damp.... Cool enough for a sweatshirt but I'm getting away with shorts and the stars are out now...

Reporting back...

At first the sky seemed pitch black but as my eyes adjusted I could see the stars. They seemed so distant and pale tonight.

Does anyone think they are dimmed when the universal life force is being distressed?

I define "recently" as a bigger scope than just tonight. I have walked a lot in the last couple of weeks.

The best walk of all was along the beach at night, with no one else around us.

Walked earlier this afternoon. Went to get my daughter from school.. then I walked her to the store to buy a treat. Today was a beautiful spring day.. smelled like fresh cut grass.. a tad chilly still.. but lovely none the less.

It's baseball kinda weather. :D (First tournament tomorrow in Seattle)

Lightly overcast...

I can still see the Big Dipper, Polaris, and three of the visible planets, with Jupiter being the brightest at 11 o'clock above the Northern hemisphere.
Oh yeeeeah, the stars are out!
