If your ancestors were victims, doesn't that make you a loser?

The endless, constant, and ever increasing ethnic anger, incited of course by the ruling establishment as a means to maintain and increase its power, is based on the idea that some demographics were historically "victimized" or "oppressed" by other demographics.

A narrative is developed, some groups get to be the sweet, wonderful, oppressed, and get constant special rights and considerations as a result, while other groups are classified as the horrible, evil, oppressors and are denied the same benefits as well as being constantly "on trial" to prove they aren't the "r-word" toward the other groups (who don't have to prove they aren't the "r-word"). This is all rehashing of the obvious, we all see and live this constantly every day in today's society. Its the civil religion.

Yet, the big question that is never asked, is what is good about being a "victim," or what is there to be "proud" of if your ancestors were victims? I'sn't this backwards??? Shouldn't you be ashamed if your ancestors were a bunch of losers who got oppressed? Shouldn't you be proud of the successes of your ancestors, not their failures? Shouldn't you be trying to join the winners rather than being "proud" of your ancestors failures?

People will of course take this thread the wrong way, so I'll clarify.

I believe that every human has ancestors who were oppressed and ancestors who were oppressors. I truly believe that we are all equal, historically and today. The whites had a good run of success, if you consider success conquest and domination, which at the time it was considered to be (it wasn't until after World War II this became something negative in world consensus). 400 years of dominating the planet, yes, that's success. However, for a long time they were pretty much stuck on a little extension of a continent in a not so great latitude. They were conquered by Asian invaders like Huns and Mongols. 90% of people were serfs with few rights.

The Middle East was the most dominant in ancient times with early civilizations developing there first. The New World also developed powerful civilizations. Great civilizations developed in Africa and elsewhere. The Pacific Islanders somehow figured out how to navigate and settle tiny islands scattered over thousands of miles of open ocean without modern navigational aids. Of course, all these groups also oppressed others in the process, most of them had slaves and caste systems of various kinds, and all were violent at least from time to time.

In other words, everyone has ancestors who oppressed and were oppressed. Everyone has ancestors who conquered and were conquered at various times. Its time to let it go, and move forward without the resentments.

As an example, there are some black activists, granted a small fringe, who claim that blacks invented all great civilizations in the near east and Mediterranean. Instead of promoting the history of black civilizations like Zimbabwe or the ones in west Africa, its more important to them to claim that Egyptians were black, when they were probably very similar physically to Arabs today, or more ridiculously that Greeks and even Romans were physically the same as sub-Saharan Africans today. What they should be doing is educating people on sub-Saharan civilizations and the great history of Africa over the millennia.
