The endless, constant, and ever increasing ethnic anger, incited of course by the ruling establishment as a means to maintain and increase its power, is based on the idea that some demographics were historically "victimized" or "oppressed" by other demographics.
A narrative is developed, some groups get to be the sweet, wonderful, oppressed, and get constant special rights and considerations as a result, while other groups are classified as the horrible, evil, oppressors and are denied the same benefits as well as being constantly "on trial" to prove they aren't the "r-word" toward the other groups (who don't have to prove they aren't the "r-word"). This is all rehashing of the obvious, we all see and live this constantly every day in today's society. Its the civil religion.
Yet, the big question that is never asked, is what is good about being a "victim," or what is there to be "proud" of if your ancestors were victims? I'sn't this backwards??? Shouldn't you be ashamed if your ancestors were a bunch of losers who got oppressed? Shouldn't you be proud of the successes of your ancestors, not their failures? Shouldn't you be trying to join the winners rather than being "proud" of your ancestors failures?
