Who would it be?

My pick would be Tina Turner.

And I'm not a religious person, but I pray that the good graces of this Earth keep her here with me.

With so many deaths lately. Michael. Whitney. David.

I'm starting to get a bit desperate. Trying to hold on to the ones that I love. That I remember fondly.

You guys must have some.

Living forever sounds like more of a curse to me than a blessing. Look at all the vampire movies!! You watch everyone you love die, everyone you come to care about eventually leaves you.

A person you're not ready to.let go.of.

Sheesh. It's not a lecture on mortality.

Using your criteria - Clapton.

While McCartney (in my view, anyway) is a plasticized has-been... Eric works WITH his age, and still brings joyful tears to MANY of us.

Please move this Favorite Song thread to the Playground, where it belings.

Thanks.

Which song especially floats your boat?

Gosh... I'm not sure. Mood-depending, really. If i want to wax nostalgic, probably the original "Layla", at a volume of 9+.
The duo album "Riding With The King" also really speaks to me.

That was an odd album. I didn't care for it when it was first released, but it has grown on me over the years.

Yup, I get that... but the tall dark gemm'un was like that, wasn't he? Those two made a great team - the "purists" think both B.B. AND Clapton "too commercial ", but this one speaks to me...
I've driven Highway 61 south of Memphis - that Caddy would've just made it perfect, eh?

I'm not sure? Would living forever be a good thing? I question that.

If i had to choose, it would be my incredible, intelligent daughter.

George Orwell. Too late for him, of course -- and he never would have asked to live forever.

I also think living forever is more of a curse.
Tina Turner is a Buddhist, she will live forever. :D
If Buddhism is correct, that is.
I know your tiny brain has a hard time when other people are interested in other things, but do try.
Hehehehe. Can always count on you for funny, yet biting retorts.
