If you people don't Start threads about me

Man, it's the fucking Cock av. Alot of people don't want to see it. At least have the decency to cover up, young man.

No dont cover it,Todd. Dont listen to him.

Now Lobito, how about moving your veggies a little to the right?

I'm not going to start a thread about you, but you did inspire me to respond. Does that count? :)

For the first time since joining Lit, I'm turning off avs. The real life nude shots are bothering me. I've thought about this, and I really don't have a rational reason for my way of thinking on this topic. There have been plenty of professional photos and drawings of the human form, including scores of nudes, but the real ones are different somehow. I just don't enjoy reading serious posts with dicks plastered next to the text. If all the exhibitionists stayed in the fluff threads, I would never come across them. But these same people have varied interests, and hence I see them in all their avatar glory.

I realize the problem is entirely within my own brain. I only bring it up to ask if anyone else has the same reaction, and if so, can you provide a basis for your thoughts? Perhaps I differentiate the professional v. amateur because I am speaking to the people in the amateur pictures? That in my real life, I have yet to converse with people in the buff, and that (lack of) experience colors my expectations here? Does this make sense?

i don't mind seeing it. :)

Todd, dear,

You had posted such a lovely thread to me, I would return in kind. But, then, there are so many threads to sift through these days, I wouldn't want to muddy the waters.

Besides, you start enough threads about you......I wouldn't want to compete! :D

Mischka: Some real life av's are disconcerting to me. Some I rather enjoy. Like you, I am not sure why I feel this way.

Mischka and Miss Taken and morninggirl5..... it must be the M's in our names causing this aversion to the av's.

Or perhaps it's because the av's are revealing a bit more than we are comfortable with without a more concrete relationship. It's comparable to accidently seeing your neighbor that moved in last week nude. You don't know them well enough to know exactly how to react and are uncomfortable with every reaction that seems possible.

I find it funny how some of those who don't like the REAL av's are also some of those who comment how much they like them. Now I'm confused as fuck.
