Author Missy Lyons (who is she on here? I can't remember), has been tagging everyone's work but hers with horrible tags....some are just downright stupid.

Check it out: Missy's Tags

Not very original, is she? Seems like the same review or variation almost every time.

Whew that could backfire mighty quick, as enraged authors start troll- tagging her in retaliation. They might even be smart enough to not do it under their public name...

Good catch. Anyone so hit can report it to Amazon, and they'll take the tags down and close "her" out (until "she" reappears). The author/publisher might have to reconstruct relevant tags, though.

Wow, trolling here is lame enough, but here they can hide under anonymous and the site is not about to do anything to them. You could get yourself seriously black balled over there with the big boys.

I have one ebook there, and she must have missed it. I don't know if that's good or bad.

I would love to take credit for it, but it was Imp that caught it, and I think that someone brought it to her attention....authors looking out for each other and all. I just thought I'd pass it on to y'all. :)

Sounds like someone is a little upset that incest is taking up all the room on the erotic top lists on Amazon....

How lovely. Not.

Actually as I scrolled through I noticed that it is only incest type stories that she has tagged like this. Wonder if she either is so offended by incest she feels the need to do this or is an author herself who had her incest stories removed and is pissed off.

Erin

But she doesn't hate all incest stories she tags. Odd.

Maybe she really means what she says, despite the odd insult. Some of them she's tagged as "molester in disguise," and I see a lot of "badly written" and "unedited" tags, which just might be completely warranted, after all...:D

I might give her the benefit of the doubt if she hadn't used terms like fartalicious, anally retarded, and sucks big fat hairy donkey balls.

Yep. tags with "typos" and "unedited" and "not recommended" I could live with.

But the above are just childish and ridiculous.

ETA: I am cracking up at your sign line, Cloudy. Love!!

Oh, totally. That's what I meant by the "odd insults."

Although, (and I am not willing to buy the book and test this) there might be substance to the "fartalicious" and "anally retarded" comments. Anal plus incest plus bad writing... Eeeew.

Anyway, she's surely asking for trouble.

Be interesting if she was attacking people she didn't like rather than poorly written stuff.

"Fartalicious, anally retarded, and sucks big fat hairy donkey balls" are sort of fun as evil tags, but her creativity loses credibility by her repetitive use.

Therefore, she's a big fat goober gobbler.

'Kisses monkey face'? 'Yucky'? Is this person in the 4th Grade? Those reviews are hilarious. :D

On the face of it one would assume that these tags would have a negative effect on sales, but they are so absurd, possibly they might backfire. Is there any way of knowing?

My Death to Innocence isn't incest (because they never quite get around to it--although it weighs heavily on the book), and it wasn't submitted as incest, but once someone tagged it on one distribution list as incest, sales went up significantly.

Did the person who tagged it as incest get nasty tags themselves for false advertising from those who read it and found that you only "teased" the reader about incest but never got around to it?

If you click the link right now, you will see a handful of her own books at the top of the list, because she's tagged them. How long before they get troll tagged I wonder? :D

Beats me. This is on ARE. They don't identify who gives tags.

One of my publishers pointed out that it had happened and was lamenting the tag. I replied "Wait for it; it might be a favor." :D
