Sorry for typos but right m in a livin (dark)g hell

What do I get in return? Hurricane pics? I can get those for free.

By the way, I can tell you how to make a cell phone charger from a crank flashlight if you want. I've made several, and they work well when you don't have any source of power.

hellbaby, you in the eastcoast too? If so, i went since monday night without power in my house, so you'll survive.

i just got power an hr or so ago...

I’ve got power, hot water and a hot tub.

If you’ve got a divers outfit, a stick of celery, mars bars and ice-cream (still considering how to fit in the popsicles!) we can talk.

(Hope the power gets turned back on soon, will be looking out for the pics)

Woof!

We were without power until last night around 5PM. After driving around yesterday morning I'm pleasantly surprised that they managed to get it restored before early next week.

The lines of people hoping to buy a generator at the local Home Depot were only dwarfed by those waiting to get gas for them and their vehicles at the local gas stations (those that had gas left and power to pump it).

By far the funniest was a man in line at Home Depot. He sounded like some of the "doom and gloom" people here. He acted as if society were about to collapse any moment because of a lack of power. Dude, it's been 2 days.. There's four pallets of water 6 feet high being ignored and the grocery store next door has plenty of food. I think we'll survive.

Looks like God is rooting for Romney, all the Democrats are either out looting or standing in line for ice.

luckily our power didn't go out. maybe had to do with a lot of weak trees were culled by the derecho windstorm in the summer that knocked out power here for 9 days.

My town is still in the dark, PECO's standard line is 'power in ten hours' but it will be closer to a week until I have power.

COOL! My mom got her's back yesterday, the top of my street never lost their's but we still have trees entangled in poles and wires 4 houses down and there is still only one resteraunt open and that is because they are on generator power.
I lucked out and got a hotel room yesterday but need to go back into the dark house tomorrow. I was fine until my fish died yesterday- I've had a saltwater tank with those 2 stupid fish for years and when they died I lost it and had to get out of there. I've had last night and tonight with power but tomorrow it is back to the house and darkness. Two days of power helps a lot though so I'll go home and flush the fish and tough it out until we get power back online.
However if you see a news story about a crazy woman from Bucks county who goes ballistic, that would be me~(lol)

I'm so glad this did not happen in the summer because it is so much easier to bundle up in the cold than to try too cool of in the heat.

Our nearesr super markets are still closed and you need to go to Scranton which is 2 hours away to find a generator. I've heard gas is a problem because you need power for the pumps to run. We have long lines but nothing like what they are saying on tv. I still have 47 miles til empty so I'll deal with gas in a day or to.
I'm amazed how many places do not have back up power. My friends 91 yr. old mom is in an elderly home and had no heat or power until today. That just is not right. My suituation sucks, but I know I'll be ok even though I lost it the other day. I'd gladly be in the dark an extra day if it allowed old people to get power sooner. But obviously getting the casinos and sports complexes up is more important.

I guess you can't read or you would know it is from
the hotel room I just said I was lucky enough to get until tomorrow:rolleyes:

You said you were on battery power and couldn't send pics until you found electricity. Where was your internet connection coming from?

Hope all will be well for you HB.:rose:

Thanks, it will be a bummer going back to the house tomorrow, but at least I had a lil break and a couple of hot showers! A plane ticket to Cali would be nice though!

Not that I feel the need to explain or understand your interest but fyi laptops run on battery when they are not plugged in. If you're referring to the first post I made a couple of hours short of 2 days ago, I was at 'Sol Luna', a huka bar that I knew had power and wifi. I did not have the plug for my laptop with me so I was on battery power. I wanted so save as much battery life as possible as my house is powerless. I did not want to use up the battery uploading photos and videos from my camera, also, I was not sure how to post videos. Now I am at a holiday inn, still on battery power, connected through their free wifi. I do not know who the carrier is and don't really care but if you are that interested I'll give you the phone number and you can call and ask them. Until my son gets here after work with the cord for this computer so I can recharge it before I have to check out tomorrow I'm not wasting time on your dumb ass questions. Feel free to make a list though.

There's some pretty devastating images being broadcast right now, many are suffering, glad to see you have shelter, albeit temporary.

Today on tv I saw the rollercoaster at Seaside heights it used to be on the boardwalk, now its in the ocean.

It's your fantasy. Enjoy.
