If you could only be with the one person you loved

for a night, just one night, and you knew that you would have to say goodbye and probably never see them again...could you do it?

What's the alternative?

One night with the person or what?

one night...or never being able to touch them... never being in their arms... no nothing...just basically letting it die and never having any memories to hold on to.

LOL... I guess the answer has to be yes unless there's some kind of negative option.

I didn't know it until after it happen that it was only once. Does that count?

Of course I take the "one night". Something to look back on and treasure always.

I always want the memories, so yes, I could.
Who wouldn't want memories to cherish?

Yes.

To have had only one breathe of his hair...one touch of his hand...one kiss from his lips...I would rather have one, than go an eternity without.

Been there, done that....the T-shirt is even starting to fade.

The hurt is still there...and I suppose it always will be. And people wonder why I'm so bitter? <g>

V~

*EDITED TO ADD....no thanks. I'd not do it again. It's not worth it.

One night and never see them again?

I'm not a huge believer in "it's better to have loved and lost than never have loved at all."

I think i'd pass on the one night.

This is something I've thought about far too often, and I actually had a conversation earlier with someone about it.

I would have to say yes, because to have them for just once... to feel their arms around me, his skin touching mine, his lips pressing to me would be something I'd hold in my heart and soul forever.

And yes I think it would be more painful after doing so.. but I'd still need to know what it felt like.

I so love that movie and as soon as I read this thread it was what came to my mind.

It is my exact feeling.

I could not live my whole life without knowing the feeling of his arms around me the way it feels to taste his skin. To just look into his eyes.....

you mirror my thoughts... one night...would be better than nothing at all.

My first instict was to say, "of course I'd take that night!"

But... the one time I had this kind of situation present itself, I declined.

I have had the opportunity a few times...and I declined. I regretted it.

too many what ifs

My answer would be yes ...

I have been there before and while we knew what would happen , we just lived in that moment, we got lost in our own world for that one night.

Hell Yes.

Yes, I would definitly take the offer. There are of course the memories to consider, would they be good, would they be bad, could I live with myself afterword.

But the bottom line is the SEX. I am always on the look out for new techniques, and methods to drive men out of their minds. If this is the man of my dreams, then he has got to have some good ones I could exploit in later encounters.

Even if he doesn't, I could use the opportunity to bone up on my own love making technique.

Anything to drive him fucking crazy I say.

I had five years with the person I loved. Losing that person is the worst pain I have ever felt, I will always carry the scars across my heart. So no, I would not take the just one night.

I think that the answer is yes, because you would have the memory of the loved one and the memory of that last night.

This is all assuming, of course, that you will only love one person in your entire life.

Gee, I hope that isn't true; I genuinely loved my ex at one point...

I'm sure I could, as in, my heart would break, and I'd just see grey around me for some time after, but I would still be alive, and I'd make it through the day.

But it would just about kill me. I can't even fathom the pain.

This is a difficult question to answer.....On one hand you can't miss what you never had....Less heartache I imagine....

On the other hand, to experience true love, if only for a fleeting moment......I have to think on this more......

Yes, and there would be a kidnapping involved. I'm not about to let go.

Many times. I keep thinking that it might not have ended the way it did if I had stayed that night. I think I was afraid that it would still end, so I left.
