What kind of questions would you ask?

I MAY have the opportunity to speak to a female porn star. I'm thinking about asking her if she'd sit down and do an "interview". I'd write it and submit it as a reality story.

So IF this happens, I'm wondering what kind of questions you'd like to see asked.

Maybe, a moment to moment description, of what was going through her mind when she decided that she would do it. It offers this private glimpse when the person is transitioning still from an "it could be anyone" person, to "that's never going to be me" person. At this point, she is still relatable to everyone -- not yet a "porn star."

I saw an interview with a porn star on late night TV a few years back and she was asked what brought her into the business. "I like to fuck," was the reply. Men, women, she didn't care as long as she got off. Later on she said it wasn't work, it was fun; no preamble, no buying drinks, you show up, your partner's ready and you fuck. You forget the camera's there, you just get it on. She didn't care for retakes either. :D

Welcome back, Wildcard, been a while...

Way back when, in my early Radio Daze, I interviewed a young woman with breast implants...she permitted a 'hands on' investigation....:)...perhaps...?;)

I'm the resident expert on female pornstars in this Literiotica forum. (You don't think?) Read The Anatomy of An Adult Film by Sunset Thomas (famous adult movie star) and R. Richard (Literotica).

The paths to porn star are many and varied. In the book several (real but fictionalized) paths are examined. You can get your questions from The Anatomy of An Adult Film. However, be warned. Female adult film stars range from high school dropouts to near PhD level. A lot of then didn't really enlist, they were drafted. A lot of them rode the bus into the big city and realized that the only thing that they had to sell to keep them alive, well, they were sitting on it. Some of them had 'day jobs' and then they found that they could make many times day job pay in adult films.

If you want to learn how to do the interview, read The Anatomy of An Adult Film.

I'll actually answer the question ;)

1) What was your all time favorite scene? Why?
2) What was your least favorite scene? Why?
3) What are your favorite roles (Heroine? Bitch? Sweet? Mean?) ?
4) Not naming names, but what qualities in a partner or coststar to you admire? Respect? Appreciate?
5) Do you watch your own films? Do you watch other porn films? What do you think of them? What do you think makes them good or bad?
6) What other kind of films to watch and like? Would you ever like to act in one?
7) Where do you see the business going in 5-10 years? How do you think it will change? How has it changed since you started? Do you think these are good changes or bad?

Any of those the sort of questions you might be looking for?

I once interviewed Amber Lynn. Most uncooperative bitch I've ever talked to.
At first she hung up on me. When I called back, she gave me a short statement concerning contract girls -- she was trying to sign some.
I understand Amber Lynn was not the nicest woman in the world and not all porn stars are going to be such bitches, but at least this finally gives me the chance to vent over the incident.

At what point, do you look at the director and say, "You have got to be fucking kidding me."?

How were you able to separate emotion from the physical act?

In addition to wanting to know how she got into the business, I would want to know whether she planned to continue long-term, i.e. becoming a director, etc. or if she had an exit plan/strategy.

This is a great thread. Can't wait for the responses.

Update:

It looks like this is going to happen. Here's a little more background...

The person is female. She's in her late 30's and is now out of the business after being in it full time for about 6 years. She has now taken up a "normal" life in her familys interior design business.

Aside from being in videos, she also worked for awhile at the Moonlight bunny ranch. She appeared in one episode of the HBO show "cathouse".

I've decided that my questions to her won't be the typical "what's your favorite position?" type of stuff. It will be much more about the person.

So if you can think of some good questions along those lines, please post them here.

Anyone at the PTA meetings ask if they've seen you in the movies?

(That occurs because decades ago when I was being introduced at PTA president at a school in Bangkok, I spied on the first row the guy who initiated me in MM.)

I would ask them if they minded me using a lot of germX after we shook hands.

LOL*

I have interviewed a couple. I can tell you that they all hate the same old questions, so ... think of a new angle, surprise them and your readers. Asking questions you want answered is the best angle ever.

I know! I know!

"What kind of toothpaste do you use?"

She may think it's a trick question.

You could ask them what job category they put on their tax form.

Not that anyone asked, but I think the deaf shemale Olivia Love would make an interesting porn star interview.

Did it happen and where can we read it?

It's already been mentioned, but I would also like to know how she plans on talking to her kids one day about this, if they ever found out.

Also, who is she? I enjoy that show Cathouse.

I realize it’s an indelicate question and I don’t mean it to be in any way judgmental, but I’d be tempted to ask your female porn star the following:

What’s the difference between working as an ‘actress’ in a porn movie and simply working as a prostitute?

I’ve read some interviews where women have claimed that their primary profession is ‘exotic dancer’. But these dancers will, occasionally, do a porn movie in order to boost their popularity on the exotic dance club circuit. Well, they say ‘It pays to advertise’, so that sounds believable.

On the other hand, I’ve read that the typical porn actress is only paid somewhere between $ 300 and $ 800 per movie. At that rate, an ‘actress’ is going to have to appear in one hell of a lot of movies in order to make a living. So, back to my question: What’s the difference?

What do you think of men's and women's fascination with big breasts and have you disfigured yourself to satisfy that fascination?

Why? or Why not?

Does softcore porn count? I interviewed Cinemax After Dark staple Beverly Lynne last year. Nice woman, prettier and taller in person than I expected. I thought it was cute, and a sign that she was still a normal person, that some topics seemed to make her blush. But then until recently (on her website) she was always strictly softcore, not one of the hardcore chicks who crossover to softcore.
