If you could go back in time and see one concert

The Battle of the Bands: Chick Webb vs Benny Goodman, May, 1937 at the Savoy Ballroom.

Chick Webb's band beat the premiere swing band in the world and Chick himself outplayed Gene Krupa. Ella Fitzgerald, a new discovery, sang with Webb's band (which also featured afro-Cuban jazz legend Mario Bauza). Goodman's band had not only Krupa but also Lionel Hampton.

Oh man!

Imagine hitting the reefer and listening to that. Oh my!

No reefer. The police were out in force that night. The Savoy was packed - 7000 people inside, I think - and the crowd spilled well out into the street. They were worried that someone would get hit or there'd be a riot when people couldn't get in. It all went well, though.

Well it wasn't before I was born but me and my buddies never had the money to see Zeppelin in the 70's. Finally we all had the cash and were going to seem them in Philly and John Bonham dies about a month before the tickets went on sale.

1) John Lennon (solo)
2) The Beatles
3)The Guess Who (The original Guess Who, not that piece of crap band they got going right now with just 1 or 2 original members)

T Rex?

My sister is so into Marc Bolan, and she is a few years younger than I am.

Me too. I love T-REX, it's sad he had to die in a car crash at such a young age.
