If you are having a lengthy delay in publishing, please add the name of your story and when submitted here.

Also i wonder what happens if someone uses AI only to correct grammar and other mistakes. Does it detect AI and reject it too or no.
The most common factor (based on multiple people sharing their experiences here) in AI rejection is use of Grammarly to actually change your text, as opposed to addressing what it throws up yourself.

From now ancient convos with the site, AI mediated translation is also problematic. And yes some people do submit stories which they have used AI to write. If this happened less, maybe life would be better here.

STORY EDIT, as instructed. No reminders. Submitted more than a month ago.

My 'on hold' story, A Dangerous Affair, was published today in Loving Wives. I'd left it untouched in pending for a couple of weeks. I'm taking this as a sign of hope that they're starting to catch up. Now of course, I'll have the thrill of watching it being torn to pieces by the readers, but better ripped apart than being in limbo!

Not sure what you mean? I have a story edit pending from October 5th, that’s not abnormal. And I can imagine edits are even further down the priority list right now.

I haven’t as I’ve always heard that it just puts you to the back of the queue. I submitted a different story today, so testing the “fell in a black hole” theory
That used to be good advice once upon a time. Right now, if you have been stuck that long, resubmit.

Couple weeks wow. My is barely 2 weeks old so maybe it's not sentenced to be terminated just beacuse of AI for grammar. Guess I will wait next 2...

I cannot be sure, but I expect that a rejected script is sent back straight away. Yours is probably still in limbo.

I've pretty much given up for now. After I left a story in the Pending black hole for seven weeks, resubmittd, and it sat for another month, I just don't trust the system. I can publish elsewhere.

I think that the back log is probably really huge.

I switched my series to manual to be able to mark it complete and reorder it. I also added a descriptive.
I submitted on 10.16 and it went live on 10.23 (today).

It was not a high priority thing and I am glad it only took 1 week to approve 1 sentence.

Yeah...
I don't really get it. I understand a backlog and things can happen. But just inform us.
I know it's a free site, but I think we all put a lot of free effort into our writing too. It would be nice to be aknowledged for that.

My series has three more parts approved and waiting to be published.

I wonder if I can sell those slots to the highest bidder somehow....

How long is your story that is pending? I'm curious if shorter submissions are getting gone through faster than longer ones. Pure speculation though.

What happens if one of the contest stories gets caught in the vortex?
