@Laurel and @Manu we should quantify this current problem, which seems to be impacting many authors and impinging on Event / Competition submissions.

The site has known of this issue since the day it started and either aren't concerned, or maybe they don't have an answer. We don't have one and they don't seem compelled to publicly discuss it, which sucks for us, but it's their show so we don't really have any options other than hoping it resolves at some point.

Silk's starting that thread is enough, it's a big red flag that literally, and far and away, the most popular author on this site is having this issue. The fact she is getting no response is concerning and that's all that needs to be said.

But never let an issue arise that you can't make about yourself, because that's all this is. You had to link your thread in hers, run and bump it and now start this one all in a span of a couple of minutes. The fact you're one of many here who used to belittle people for complaining about this (and any other issue in your desire to suck up) when it first arose just adds to how disingenuous it is.

This is just another attention-grabbing thread, and I know I'm not the only person that sees it and finds it tiresome, just the only one who will say it publicly instead of in PMs.

Thank you Emily.

I know some people have waited longer.

I actually posted part 2 on 9/15/25. Then the date switched to 9/16/25 and stayed Pending. I decided that may be a bug had happened and reposted on the 22nd.

And waiting since.

I gave up waiting after 12 days and resubmitted. Now waiting 3 days. If @silkstockingslover is having the same problems you are in very good company.

It seems doubtful that the site will do anything, or even issue a statement. But we can at least support each other.

And we can share stories of what has worked.

I submitted two stories: "What do you want from me?" on 09/14/2025, and "The Cuckold's Penthouse" on 09/17/2025. I can wait, no problem. I'm just concerned because I had to use online services to translate the stories into english. Since I'm new here, I don't know if that could have caused any problems or delays in the process.

Most translation software nowadays seems to use AI, so it may have introduced artifacts that cause your stories to be flagged as AI written. But no one here really knows, it’s all just speculation.

A number of people who have used machine translation have been rejected for AI. Even if the original version was entirely your own, the output will likely be largely indistinguishable from AI-generated content, since most such services use the same processes. Good luck.

My Walk in the Park - non erotic story submitted 9/13/2025
Seventeen Dead - non erotic poetry submitted 9/19/2025

In the past, post time 3 to 5 days

Yes, I guess so. It's sad, because I really have written those myself and worked really hard to write them well.

Just Across the Fence Ch 10
36 days in limbo.
Withdrawn and resubmitted two days ago.
Published today.
It seems like withdrawing and resubmitting is a better strategy than the conventional, just wait advice. Which also suggests that it is a problem with submissions getting lost due to an error in site software.

I don’t think this is an issue with @Laurel and @Manu beung busy, though undoubtedly they are, it seems likely that the site software has a major problem.

My Halloween comp entry was just approved.

But… this was only after I had pulled it and resubmitted.

That’s now at least six people who have been successful by adopting this approach. It seems like the least bad bet if you are caught in purgatory.

Maybe people should use the bug report form when this happens, and for the purpose of this thread, every time it happens, because as far as any of us know, it 100% is.

If it isn't, if it's somehow "by design" and a feature of the process and tools @Laurel and @Manu have developed for publishing stories, then, a statement about that and (even better) an update to the FAQ's would be called-for.

Easier than a bug fix, too.

We don't know whether the suspicion of generative AI usage leads to delays, or just to rejections. A rejection is a kind of delay, sure, but it isn't the kind we've been talking about. Rejections should also happen quickly without weeks of delay while Pending.

[regarding seeing the Submitted date change] Maybe people should use the bug report form when this happens, and for the purpose of this thread, every time it happens
I mean, heck, as long as we're reporting bugs, and as long as we suspect that the delays are bug related, as a totally separate matter from the Submitted date getting changed, maybe we should report delays as bugs too instead of just listing them in a forum thread.

But for enhanced visibility, the bug report could include a link to this topic, why not.

How to be a Literotica author 9/16.

Thank you doing this.
I meant to add, it’s really refreshing to see people wanting to contribute to the community, paying back what they get from publishing here. Too many people don’t want to even try to make a difference, so well done!
