If the President passed away in office

"Excuse me, Mr. Vice President you are in Ohio now not Iowa."

In other words, if the phone rang at 3:00am Joe would not be able to find it to answer.

could be worse

a 3 am phone call came in from LIB! YEAH!.....Obama had it call forwarded

TO A NON WORKING NUMBER

Who would you trust more to take over, Biden or Ryan?

Biden by a huge margin. Did you watch the VP debates? Ryan appeared to have little knowledge or even interest in foreign policy. He just rolled off a couple talking points he was told to memorize and then fell in a hole when had to do more than just list them.

Ryan has a better understanding of budgetary issues and Medicare than most other reps (even if he's not always honest about it for political reasons), but he has Sarah Palin-level foreign policy credentials ay best. He's a specialist. It would be like a business promoting one of its accountants to CEO and expecting him to lead the entire company with no training or experience in such a thing.

Ryan may be an idiot.

However, Biden continuely says stupid things that leaves little room for doubt.

Ryan may be an idiot.

Ryan has been working out of his league lately. He is not used to being in the spotlight of this magnitude.

I agree about Biden. Biden is indeed capable and extremely intelligent, but he cannot convince the public of this. He keeps sticking his foot in his mouth with his lack of self discipline. And his record of being a blabbering idiot at exactly the wrong time is not going to change.

Yeah Biden says dumb things sometimes. But he's been in foreign policy for like thirty years and I trust him in that area far more than Ryan who has been in foreign policy for zero years and appears to have little interest in it.

That's not to say Ryan couldn't learn and be decent at foreign policy, but as John McCain told us experience matters.

Has Biden been an asset to the Obama Administration in respect to either domestic or foreign policy?

Please don't come back and say what VP does anything?

Cheney was quite involved in foreign policy even if one disagrees with his views and actions.

I can see Ryan playing a very active role in economic policy.

I don't see Biden playing any role.

Perhaps, a different thread, "Who would be of better service to the country as VP?"

We'll see how Obamacare works once it becomes reality and part of federal law when it takes effect. I bet my left nut employers are going to drop most employees to part time and there will be another ripple of lay-offs to avoid footing insurance costs on behalf of the average worker. But we will blame that one on whoever is in office 2 yrs from now.

Romney changes his stance more times in one day than I change clothes in a week.

I voted for Obama due to lack of options. Most likely, I will do so again. And I will not be happy voting for a POTUS turning the US into a socialist nation. But we, the American people, paved the way for that when Bush Jr. was in office.

I think he's been an adviser to Obama, yes. As to whether he's useful that would be a question for the prez, right?

It's appropriate.

The office is worth a bucket of warm spit.

Biden is the warm spit in the bucket . . .

and somebody's been chawin' agin . . . .

Granny was a hard-bitten Democrat to the bitter end, but this lot was still in school when she died.

Poodles were still hunting dogs then.
