If the GOP is to rise from the ashes, it has to burn first

America is lucky that the Capitol building, and surrounding associated buildings
did not go up in flames on January 6th. The DC fire department was not called
to witness the horrible sight of the Capitol building burning down.

Molotov cocktails, explosives, and caches of guns held, nearby. Former Republicans
now ask why Democrats are making such a big deal out of it. Desire that everyone
simultaneously have amnesia of the events, and never forget how close
the events came to changing history.

Tonight, on PBS, Sen Amy Klobuchar (D- Minnesota) spoke of the people that were
with her, as they walked the last box of Electoral College ballots to be counted, at
three in the morning.

At 3:32 a.m., Pence cited the results for Biden’s victory in Vermont, which pushed
the Democrat past the 270 electoral votes for Congress to confirm him as the next
president nearly 15 hours after the joint session began.

Lucky that a terrorist rioter invader did not burn the ballots, before they could have been
counted. Lucky that Democrats or former Republicans did not lose political representatives
by misadventure, or through murderous malice.

For the GOP to actually become a party able to function and accept multi racist democracy thirty to thirty five percent of its members and constituencies must actively reject racism to the levels kg the left leaning Party.

Finally dumping the party system as unnecessary and unaffordable expenses may take decades. Meanwhile, both parties may fail to adapt and be replaced by new parties.

Oh c'mon....there are much better threads older than a year ago to resurrect
