If someone's sig line is longer than one sentence, do you bother reading it, ever?

Even after seeing it day after day? I don't. I was looking at someone's five or six sentence sig line today -- a line I've seen countless times -- and realized that not only have I never read it, I never will. Apologies to all the decent people with long sig lines but there's something so arrogant about advertising your philosophy in such a long-winded constant fashion than makes me decidely not interested in reading it.

I not only don't read them, but I tend to scroll right past their posts just to get the hell away from them - thus missing anything they say that might be worthwhile.

Well, I don't go that far. I just treat the sigs like white noise and ignore them. Some I like. The short, pithy ones that are changed often. But the endless quotes and song lyrics and animated this and that are just too blantantly "Read about how cool I am!" that I have to give them a pass.

It's not bad if they post more than one line, but if it's a short post, I have missed them in the past, because I can't always tell what's their post and what's their sig.

Generally, when a picture appears, I stop reading. At that point, it's not a sigline. It's a billboard.
