I don't see how the Rep party can avoid it. Maybe they'll get behind Santorum or Romney. Maybe they'll let them go head to head at a brokered convention. Anything can happen. But it's smelling more and more like Dark Horse here.

It won't be Christie or Trump. Or Palin. No matter how much fucking fun that might be.

I'm thinking someone who doesn't want to serve, but will, to save the party.

Who..?

I don't think they'll be a dark horse. I'd expect a brokered convention. Still if Santorum manages to snag Michigan there will be blood.

Hillary Clinton.

Since I know someone here knows just off the top of their head when was the last time there was actually a brokered convention?

When Gingrich was ahead for a while, we heard a lot of laughable nonsense about how he'd humiliate Obama in debate and defeat him. Don't seem to be getting that kind of confidence in Santorum from the baggers.

If only the candidate had the fast wit of Newt, the social conservativeness of Santorum, the rabid followers of Paul, and the business savvy of Romney...

Oh you mean the generic Republican who was polling ahead of Obama few months ago before we started giving these guys names and faces?

That's one of the lamest fucking meme attempts this year.

Who was it that said Gingrich is a dumb man's idea of a smart man?

Way things look now, they'd be better off with an actual horse. Make a better POTUS, too, than Romney or the rest.

I think you're describing Rick Perry.
Perry? Really?!?
I see three posibilities for this statement;

You haven't been paying attention.

You're joking.

You've lost your freakin' mind.

The correct assessment of Rick (the Hair) Perry is: None of the above.

The GOP elites always prefer candidates in the Fred MacMurray/Ward Cleaver mold.
