Lockdown.
Look at my beautiful Australia. We locked down and got it under control. Almost eradicated the virus from our shores. Then we let people come back. We start having small clusters spring up so we lockdown those suburbs or towns quickly and stop it spreading further.

God give me a break. California's lockdown has nothing to do with people or companies leaving their state. People are leaving because the cost of living, especially housing, is too high. San Francisco is in dire straits as the price of houses and apartments is sky high.

Part of CA's problem as we ease out depending on where you're talking is our large Hispanic/Latino population. These are often poorly educated but more importantly these are people who are a fairly touchers, they share food. We're supposed to be one person to a table in the break room but unless there is a manager standing right then they're gonna do it. And even the managers that care realized months ago that THIS is not a fight you can win. They often in trades where social distancing is simply not happening. The only way you're social distancing while unloading a truck one box at a time.
There are other reasons mind you but that's a big part of our spike. And people across the country a fucking tired of lockdowns. This is one of those things where in ten years when all the data is collected we're gonna find out that instead of a cerfew we should had Walmart and similiar companies essentially forced to work 24 hours. I work nights, being able to pop down the Walmart at 4 am would work for me. And trust me having worked in Walmart hearing that we are closing the registered in ten minutes is just telling people "gather close together all the same time."
We'll see a lot of stuff like that and hopefully the next this happens we'll have socially condition the next gen to do as their told to some extent. You're not gonna get sent to Alaska to mine gold. You're just gonna listen doctors are telling you that you need to do this.

The head-scratching thing is, why don't they stay with their values instead of leaving them behind only to impose them upon others? Remember that the next time you are admonished that the rich are not paying their fair share of taxes. Clearly, they can simply move, leaving the rest of us behind to pick up the tab.
