Contrary to what most people think here, if I was in a long-distance relationship with Heathyr Hoffman, I would treat her with utmost respect, kindness, thoughtfulness, protection, and warmth.

I would even spoon her in bed and hold her hand while doing so.

Dude, you are in an "internet long-distance relationship" with her, so let's start to see some of that "utmost respect, kindness, thoughtfulness, protection, and warmth" that you so profess.

You took the words right out of my mouth, only better:rose:

You all need to stop encouraging him to talk about her. He has an addiction and you guys are feeding it. he is a very sick man.

Compared to all the "normal" posters around here?

The "normal" posters around here are not likely to become a physical danger to anyone else. He is obsessed with her and needs to be reported to the authorities before he goes over the edge.
Need I remind you of all the crazy shootings lately? Imagine if someone had reported those folks mental issues and they had gotten help? All those families that would not now be grieving for Christmas?
So make all the sarcastic and lame comments you want. If he hurts her it will be just as much on all those who enabled him and it will be on him. Go on be a good little accessory.

For heaven's sake. Do we not believe in personal responsibility any more?

Sure. I also believe if someone tell you they are gong to harm someone. That person is just as responsible as the attacker if they say or do nothing. Actually here in the states there are laws that say the same. :)
If it was your sister, daughter, wife.. would you feel different? Would you not be angry at the person that knew about the attack before hand and did nothing?

I would blame the perpetrator. Also, Mike is fine.

Actually according to a psyc text book he is not. Don't encourage him.
I am sorry to tell you but If you found out afterward he was bragging to his friend about his obsession and what he was going to do to your family member, you would be just as pissed as at him. Plus as I said there are rules about that here in the sates that make anyone that knows him personally and does not report or actively try to stop him as an accessory. So what you say does not really matter. Rules are on the books. Have fun with that.

Hey, stop quoting textbooks. Leave the study for a sec., let your hair down and go get drunk.
Tis the season to be crazy ! Like Mike !

Don't be upset. I'm not in the States, and what I say always matters. As what you say does, of course. We shall see how it all goes, but there is no need to argue over poor old Yates.

I am not arguing. I am saying to stop encouraging him. It like giving a drug addict money and his telling him to shoot up just a little more. If anything if folks want to help him then they should discourage his behavior. Change the topic and redirect.
