 OMG STORES OPEN ALL NIGHT

Faaaaaaaaaaaar out.

Actually I already knew that was in a few in LA last time I was there , but hey never fails to amaze me when I read it .Ran out of Easy Cheese was spraying patterns on the door mat.

We are sooooooooo 'retail challenged' in Australia :( <<sad

Exchange the word doormat for port concourse and you have the actual truth .

Be glad for all positives must come with an equal or greater number of negitive attributes too. Yes I can speak from just about all sides of Wally World, worked there, delivered there, and hell have even shopped there.

We finally got a super Walmart. I don't buy much meat there, but they are a lot cheaper on some things I need every week. The trick is to get in and out without buying shit you don't really need.

Wal-Mart is called Asda in the UK.
They were bought by Wal-Mart a few years ago.
The stuff is cheap and its open all night.

But why is it that the people who shop there never use deoderant or wash??
They really smell.
Its worse in hot weather, at my height I am nose level with armpits, with the added bonus of seeing an upward view of their nose hair.

The shop sells washing products but I bet they make less money on them than any other product they sell.....including door mats

Fairs fair, your pics are often images caught in my mind (including your rather painful looking new av).

I just wanted to return the favour :nana:

Actually, I don't shop at Wal-Mart because there is none near me. The one that was relatively near actually burned down or something and was demolished. It has since taken over by Winners and home improvement company owned by the Hudson's Bay Company.

Supermarkets here open at 7am and close at 8 pm. And that's a big improvement. Only trouble is, I'm a student. Library opens at 8am, and I won't make it there that early usually and most certainly won't go shopping that early. Library closes at 8 pm. When to shop? I tend to send other people. But honestly, 8 pm is WAY too early to close any decent shop.

I've worked at Wallyworld.
I've worked at Target.

I will NEVER shop at Target again. Three different stores, me and two friends and we were all royally screwed by management. Will never shop there again.

On the flip side- no problem with shopping at Walmart. Understand what they are, where they're coming from, etc.

Don't buy a lot there but I buy some.

I worked at walmart. I'd take that over my current Mc Hell any day but I've been black balled from wally world (long story but not as serious as I think they are making it out to me). We've had a super center about 20 mins away for a little while now, but the one just 5 mins from me ( and the one I worked at) just went super this week! which works really nicely since I've been working a lot of later shifts lately.

I was not content to post then just in my thread this week and wait for you to drop in, I came out looking for you...... :D

(ps - it does not hurt at all, that skin has a great deal of stretch - but don't tell anyone, I love the shock value  )

If your talking about Mc D's I never had to many issues with that play, in fact they over 3 years agao paid me more then what Wally did this year, that is just sad. Wally work was harder too.

I don't shop at WalMart as a rule because it is American. Zellers is (well, was) Canadian. So I went there. Now I'm not sure what to do. Apparently The Hudson's Bay Company, their parent company, the longest Canadian company (and probably rivaling a lot of others, since it was originally the posts who traded with the fur trappers) has been bought by an American. No offense, but this was a company I wanted to stay Canadian.

I agree with the original post. If I want something from a no-frills department store, I'll take Zellers over Wal*Mart anyday. When I lived in Scotland I did shop at the ASDA once in a while. Back then I didn't have any good shops nearby, so I had to go for convience if anything.

Unfortunately, it now looks like Zellers is going to go the way of Eatons.

Fuck Wal-Mart.

We don't have Zellers.

I am so not fucking Wal-mart. Actually I shop there pretty frequently and Sam's club too. However here in the Deep South, the people actually do wash and generally look nice it's part of the charm of the South.

Fury :rose:

I love Wal-mart! My Dom however seems to have this anger issue with the place. I swear his mood changes so much I have threatened him with a Wal-Mart 12 steps program to assimilate him into the life of low, low prices. :D

I'm making more now at Mc D's but only because I'm in management. At walmart I started out 25 cents higher and ended a $1 higher than before my promotion, and I worked at walmart a lot less time.

Sounds like a wonderful man. I rather like him and his extreme distaste for the cancer on this nation that is WalMart.

I can understand why a lot of people dislike walmart. Its a catch-22 investment in most towns. They make a few hundred low paying jobs, with little opportunity for overtime, but the prices are low, so you can afford things you might not be able to afford otherwise. But it also kills small business, and we as people forget what quality looks like. After my 4th Walmart coffee pot in a year I was wondering what had happened to lasting quality workmanship and someone mentioned that even though the brand is on the item, it is not the same one you would get at another store. I still can't believe that, but then I saw Henkels knives for less than $100 at Target and I know it was true.

Is Walmart actually cheaper if the product lasts a tenth of the time it is supposed too? Is it better to buy a t-shirt for $5 that will last for less than a year or pay $20 for it... knowing in 10 years you will still be tickled that the thread is still in the sleeves?

The only companies I can think of that are older is Schick (originally made armour for knights) and... that Dutch company that I now think sells oil or something. Forgot its name.
