If I hear the phrase "after 9/11" one more time...

I think I am going to explode. That must have been the most over used phrase in history over the past two days. I mean maybe I am asking for it when i am taking classes like, World politics/Economy, National Security, International Relations and International Comm. Even so I still got really tired of hearing that about 50 times today.

This sort of thing is common though when something happens in an nation's history, a date, or an occasion, that is easily identifiable with that 'something'.

We Brits still refer to the "Dunkirk" spirit meaning never to give up, and Dunkirk happened 60 years ago.

Hell, we still refer to 1066, (the last time we were conquered), and that's nearly 1000 years ago!
