Never said ACA/SS were. Those are just out of their bounds and shouldn't be federal things. ACA is actually closer to fascism than socialism.

"regulations against pollution"....depends on the regulation. Not all regulations are equal or neutral with regard to political ideology. Regulation is where that gets defined.

One could very easily craft a regulation "against pollution" that effectively nationalizes just about any industry outside of intellectual creativity. Soviet States of America~~!!! That would please the "progressives' panties right off.

The issue is that what he offers and has shown to be has been enhanced by the effect of Trump. He isn't a new option; he is a longstanding option seen by many as what is needed in this situation. Even those supporting him are, I think, seeing him as a calming interim and moving their gaze to what comes after.
