I just heard in the news that George Bush will be visiting Denmark July 6th 2005, and was wondering something. If George Bush was coming to visit your country or state, would you go to see his public appearanced?

Some years ago Bill Clinton visited Denmark, and I would have gone to Copenhagen to hear his speech if I hadn't had do work, but I have to say that I won't go and see George Bush.

Would you?

I would if I didn't have anything better to do, could be a good laugh.

LOL, nice to see we all think alike.....I'm afraid I could not put myself through the attack of nausea it would bring on at the very least.

Of course I would :)

I voted for him. He's the president.

Hell, even if Kerry had won, and he was making an appearance, I'd try to be there.

I took my kids to see clinton, and i met Carter. Normally i would take them to see any politician, because i respect what they do as public service, even if i disagree with them.

But not Bush.

I never thought i would miss Nixon.

He's been here. All he did was snarl traffic.

I listened to him for about 2 seconds on MPR then got ill.

I would definitely go to see him. Here are my reasons why:

1) Considering his poor grasp of the English language, it would probably be a better laugh than most stand-up.

2) He's a very significant person, for better or for worse. Although I dislike him personally, he's still the president of the United States of America and it's well worth taking the time out of my day to hear a presidential speech in person.

3) Although his political policies suck, I really loved the job he did in Episode 3. I'd like to get him to sign my toy light-saber.

Huh???

I'm afraid I wouldn't even waste the train fare. IMO all politicians are manipulative Lizards who are only in it for the money and the power. Im gonna stop now..... :D

I wouldn't, but only cause politics bore the hell out of me. K might go, I dunno.

As for his poor grasp of the English language, he's a Texan, they speak a whole different language. I know, I'm married to one. People are always looking at me and saying 'huh'? I just tell them I'm bilingual. I speak English and Texan. Frankly, I never have trouble understanding him.

No, I wouldn't go. It would only get me too worked up and I don't have the money to waste going to London.

If I did go, it would be to protest. But I'm slightly disillusioned with protests these days, so I doubt I would even do that.

I would probably just watch the highlights on TV and hope someone egged him.

I saw Clinton speak a few feet away from me and shook his hand. I waited in line over 18 hours for that ticket, and many more to get such a close seat.

If Bush invited me to dinner with him in the White House I'd tell him I couldn't make it.

I was making a joke... apparently one of the Sith lords from the newest installment of Star Wars looks a bit like G.W. I havent' actually seen the movie yet, but ever since Marquis made a comment on it I've asked a couple friends and they laughed and said yes, the actor did resemble him a little.

Also, I don't have a toy light saber... :(

But I'd like one.

Edited to say: Well, nevermind. Now I'm being told that he didn't. Guess I'm just a confused little sub! lol (I wonder why my friends agreed? Maybe they thought I was being facetious!)

Closing down whole cities

Last time Mr. Bush came to Germany they actually closed down the whole inner city of where they were meeting, so no one could get in or out. People living or working there had to pass some controls, but all others: no way!
So even if I would like to see him, there is no chance of getting through all his security. He just might be a bit paranoid... ( I wanted to do the "Roll eyes (sarcastic)" emoticon, but they don't seem to be working for me)

And the joke wouldn't work anyway, unfortunately.

Clinton was one of the few politicians I actually think was more interested in doing what he actually was put in office to do, that is serve the people. He also is big enough to admit when he stuffs up and not make excuses or pass the buck. And hey, at least he had a libido and a pulse unlike most of them.

Yeah, He came here (Canada) awhile back and he peed on our rug. Yet the sad thing was, that WE let him.

So, Nah, I wouldn't show, not even for a protest.
