Not bestiality....animals aren't capable of entering a legal contract of their own accord.

Polygamy and consensual adult incest? Sure....but why the fuck not?

1. Marriage is a man and a woman of the same race.

2. Marriage is a man and a woman.

3. Marriage is two people.

4. Marriage is between any number of people.

5. Marriage is between a person and an animal.


Now, that seems to be the progression you see and are horrified about. Assuming that you think it's ok for the government to be involved in marriage in the first place - where would you make the cut-off and from where does your authority derive?


As a conservative; perhaps the only conservative on the Lit, I think the government should treat every individual as an individual. There should be no government preference to marriage of any kind. Marriage is a religious institution and religion should stay out of my government.

But - our society has decided that government has a role in marriage, and society is soon to allow government to draw the line after number 3. If you are worried about society moving further down that slippery slope, keep fighting the good fight but realize, nobody else is really concerned about what keeps you up at night.

Trial courts can dismiss cases out of hand and appeals courts can summarily affirm those dismissals. If society progresses to the point where judges take those cases seriously, then presumably it has progressed to the point that the prohibitive laws should be examined. societal norms change and the corpus juris needs to keep up.

A Supreme Court justice uses the Socratic method to explore the boundaries of the issue and debate with their fellow justices. When you sit on the court you can use that method as well. I will be the first to call you a Sock Ra Tease.

1) As long as they are consenting adults....What happened to freedom and liberty?

2) No matter how you cut it, it is none of my, the states nor your fucking business who they choose to shack up with, how many or who they are fucking.
