Well, life in Alaska certainly took a strange turn a few months ago.

It started when i told my wife about my relationship with neomagalie, and she begged for one more chance to put things back together. We went to counseling in Colorado, but in my absence, some of the church leaders tried to get me fired.

I resigned, which created a major uproar in the congregation, and I found that trying to leave the church was much harder work than trying to stay. But I left.

The counseling did not exactly take hold, but for a variety of reasons (unemployment, for example, and a son who is in the legal system right now) Magalie and I are still apart.

In other words, life sucks right now.

However, Magalie is a saint, and if anyone is ever as lucky as i in in finding such a rare jewel, they better take advantage of it.

Those in the church who were not out to get me (95% of the people) have been incredibly loving.

When i doubt i would ask myself: WWTDLD?

(What Would The Dalai Lama Do?)

Regardless, it beats (pun unintended) the alternative.

And why the other 5% should be bagged with feral cats and dropped in a slow moving river.

Kindness is my religion....says the Holy One.

I find that in my personal experience the religious people are the most cruel and intolerant.

:rose: Most things worth having do not come easy in this life, so hang in there....as to the Dalai Lama, I imagine he would mention that in his eyes even he is not perfect and that we learn through reflection on our own imperfections and those we see in others. I do not think anything happens in our life without reason or a lesson we are sent to learn from.....this time in your life is meant to be and will lead you to the next step in your journey, without it you could not move forward. Three of my favourite quotes from the DL which I find help at times (with a little effort on my part:rolleyes: ) are these:

" Who teaches you tolerance? Maybe sometimes your children teach you patience, but always your enemy will teach you tolerance. So your enemy is really your teacher. If you have respect for your enemy instead of anger, your compassion will develop. That type of compassion is real compassion, which is based upon sound beliefs."

" The prime mover of every human action is the motivation or determination. First, our motivation should be simple and sincere. Whether we achieve the goal or not does not matter so long as our motivation is very sincere and we make an attempt. Finally, even if we fail to achieve our goal, we won't regret making the effort. If our motivation is not sincere, even if the objective is achieved the person will not be happy or satisfied deep down. So motivation is very important."

" Mental peace must come from the mind. So everyone wants happiness, pleasure. Now, compare physical pleasure and physical pain with mental pain or mental pleasure, and you will find that the mind is superior, more effective, and more dominant. Therefore it is worthwhile to increase mental peace through certain methods. In order to do that it is important to know more about the mind. That also, I always feel, is very important. I think, that is all. "

AS its good to see you.

I am sure Magalie is hanging on because she knows that, for her, your worth the wait.

I hope that soon you and she will be together as you wish.

Take Care
God Bless :rose:

Good to see you here, AS. *hugs*

Wow! Arctic Stranger and Neomagalie!

That is a lot to handle coming at you all at once.

I'm glad y'all found each other.

Sorry for your challenges.

I'll be sending good thoughts your way.

Not true.

It was Bruno who slayed Julius Caesar, not the Roman people.

Remember that.

I admire your honesty and courage.

Not all of us would have the ability to up-end our worlds like you appear to be doing.

Good luck :rose:

You titled this If anyone cares.

i care, and i don't even know you. Sometimes, the hardest decisions, and the ones that pull the floor out from under us, end up being the most important.

i sincerely hope that someday you will view this period as one that set the rest of your (better) life on track.

We do care, AS... and though most of us don't know you personally, face-to-face, you are a friend, and we wish you and Neomagalie all the best as you turn to the future together.

Nice to see you back AS . I am sure things will go soon for the best for Neomagalie and you ! B. :) :rose:
