"A change is as good as a rest. - Sir Arthur Conan Doyle"

Why are we reluctant to change?

It detracts from my manly odor.

Now is a change as good as a reset?

Definitions of reset:

noun: device for resetting instruments or controls
verb: set to zero
Example: "Reset instruments and dials"
verb: set anew
verb: adjust again after an initial failure

"Now is a change as good as a reset?"
I would say yes, at least you are trying. :)

Afternoon/Evening Debbie

Change makes people uncomfortable, they are happier with what they know.

Personally, I find it exciting - reaching out into the unknown.

Change sucks, because it is almost invariably change for the worst. For example, I'll probably be changing into the world's ugliest shirt in a few hours, simply because It's either that or wear some filth encrusted garment for the rest of my day. I need to reset my wardrobe.

A change....

Requires effort, stepping out of that comfortable groove we all create to simplify our lives as we see it. It involves talking yourself out of the reinforcing thoughts we all use to keep us in that groove, forcing us to explore new things and situations. Once you do escape, it'll be the most refreshing thing you accomplish, and you grow in a new way.
In weightlifting, when you get tired of the same exercise, you change the little way you perform it. Your muscles, used the the old way, respond like it was their first day working out. It spurs growth, a better physique, and a more complete symmetry.

Same as life! :D :rose:

Morning bluespoke. :)
It is scary, reaching into the unknown.
But, how will we know unless we do?
There could be so much more waiting for us
if only we reach out, change a little and gain a lot.
:D It's risky, scary, unchartered territory.
Beam me up, Scotty. :D
With change can come growth. :rose:

Hello, peaches.

I really have no reply to the thread. I think Lost Cause said it best.
