Well now, we have something in common, sort of.

There are countless people here, most of them male, who seem not to care what people say or request. Some think they're funny, some honestly just missed the notices the first time through and some just don't give a rip. Although I will say that, on average, women are much more respectful of boundaries than men.

In answer to your question, it may be either of the options you suggest. I think you might also have said that some people are filled with virtual courage that comes from sitting behind a computer monitor and knowing that at the end of the day, there's little that you can do about it.

natty, I definitely believe that too many people think that just because it's the web there's no need for common courtesy...or as I usually say "where's your common fucking courtesy!?"

I have a friend who plays lots of online video games, and apparently it's the same there. I mean instead of come-ons and pickup lines, it's apparently random 'guild invites' and 'group requests', I have vague concepts of these things, but she helped with some research for a case study I had a class do on virtual world economies. The long and short of it is you wouldn't invite random people off the street to join your elite fighting squad, or your members only club, just like if someone walked up to Me and said 'nice tits wanna fuck' I'd (depending on gender) slap their tits hard enough to make them squeal, or knee them in the nuts.

Just because we don't see the person on the other end doesn't mean it's not flippin' rude!

I personally have sigs turned off because (a) I have kids at home and (b) they can often take up so much of the screen that it takes an hour to scroll through. That may be the same for others. It may be that they actually haven't seen your sig.

Often people will send a PM without checking your profile either.

Of course you will always get the guys who sign up, see a bunch of nice AVs and then send out a request in bulk to about 50 women just to see if they get anything back.

Unfortunately, it's just one of those things that happens, particularly when you're on an adult site like this.

I personally find sigs and profiles that say Do NOT do this!! Do NOT do that!! That assume everyone is lusting after them, and that are so aggressive a bit offputting anyway.

Fair point well made. I look at some and go............... hahaha, not even with someone else's bargepole dear.

But the sad fact remains that quite a large number of men on here are here for one thing only. And this leads them to assume that everyone else is to. Morons. There really isnt much room on the little head for much of a brain. Gives us who are here for more a rather bad name
